RIP Rutger Hauer - you were a legend. And this film is one of the most underrated fantasy flicks ever. You are missed. 75years old is still too young to go.

Rutger Hauer is still my idol. I don't think I've ever seen a more heart wrenching scene than in Blade Runner. "I have seen things you people wouldn't believe!.....".
Though the scene from Ladyhawke were he can almost touch Isabeau a fraction of a second before she turned into a Hawke again. Rutger's scream when he failed, came from the depth of his soul! There was a lot of sniffing and sobbing in the theater after that scene. Including mine 🥵😎👍🏻😁😊😊

"You would not believe what I have seen with your eyes"
"I've seen things, you people wouldn't believe, hmmm.
... attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I've watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate.
All those moments, will be lost in time like tears in rain..."

I remember paying to see this in the theatre eight times when it first released, and watched it countless more on HBO as a kid. I don't care if it's dated, it still one of my all time favorite films, and moments like this are why.

    • @jamesdunn9714

It is only dated because of CG, however I think the film is better because it has no CG. Great scene here and very sad. Michelle Pfeiffer is such a beauty and is complemented perfectly by Rutger, a handsome man.

In "Ladyhawke," Captain Navarre, played by Rutger Hauer, says, "A day without a night and a night without a day. Only the night and the day are as one - no sun, no moon." This line reflects the curse placed on Navarre and Lady Isabeau, condemning them to never be together. The prophecy suggests that a moment of perfect harmony, where day and night coincide, holds the key to breaking the curse and achieving freedom from the Bishop's malevolent magic.

I purchased the soundtrack. LOL. 😂
I like playing it in the background. It reminds me of this beloved movie. 😊

This is the part where they reveal that Lady Isabeau d'Anjou is actually Sweet Dee’s great great great grandmother. Goddamn BIRD.

This is exactly what it's like to try to schedule a meeting for widely distributed teams.
"What about 6 AM my time?"
"No, I'm a wolf at that time. Maybe an hour later?"
"Can't do it. I've got to be a hawk by 7."
