    This is my dream day. An entire day spent being custom fit into a full set of clubs. Have never been custom fit for my clubs and my most recent purchase was my driver in 2013. I'd love to see what difference a custom fit, newer set of clubs would do for my game over my current set. Great video and some really good advice thrown in. Thanks for sharing.

    Many thanks, that was interesting to get your insights into a Club fitting.
    Regarding your comments about spin rates etc, one of the limiting factors of a Fitting at AM is that they use Range balls which will have a lower spin rate than the Balls that you use out on the Course (assuming that you use a Tour calibre ball). Also if you want to increase your spin rates the easiest way to achieve this is to swap to a higher spinning ball.
    Perhaps videoing a Ball fit might be an idea for a future vid.

    Great insight into the fitting process, and to come away with MP20s!! Lovely :) This just proves how well your practising and hard work is paying off to be able to hit blades like those equally as well if not better than some game improvement irons!! Really well done Mia, excellent journey brilliantly told! Now for a putter and ball fitting to complete the set and handicap will start tumbling as soon as you can get that sorted, best of luck getting a golf club/course you like, enjoy and play well on!

    I sure wish golf stores around here in the US would add more left-handed clubs to their inventory...trying to find clubs secondhand is tough! • @llewellyngriffith2929
      @llewellyngriffith2929 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am facing the same thing here in the UK, when I search for left handed clubs online but when I read the description they are actually right handed clubs. Forget about searching on Amazon or eBay as they are going to be the most unreliable for new or second hand clubs. Places that specialise in second hand clubs still have very limited stock of left handed clubs. It looks like forking out the money to go for a custom fitting and buying your clubs based on the fitting data is the only way to get clubs that are right for you.

    Great work on this video Mia, thank you for giving a breakdown of each part of the fitting session and how to best do a custom fitting. Glad to know that a fitting session should be split for driver, woods/hybrids, irons and wedges selection to avoid fatigue from hitting so many balls.
    I definitely need some help before going for a fitting session as I am a left handed golfer and started playing golf with right handed clubs. Should I start from scratch and get fit for left handed clubs with no previous data of my swing speed, lie angle and loft of my previous right handed clubs or get fit for right handed clubs instead with the same problem of not knowing all the information of my old clubs. I only remember the manufacturer of the clubs and the series but I don't know what year they were manufactured or how old they were when I bought them 20 years ago in high school.
    Any help from a club fitter would be helpful as thinking about going for a custom fitting is very daunting and stressful to say the least.

    A very informative video of the process of club fitting. One question though, you held up the Hybrid club and said it was 5 degrees of loft but do you mean it was a 5 hybrid club?? 5 Hybrids are generally around 27 degrees of loft so did you miss speak because 5 degrees of loft for that club seems crazy considering your driver you say is 10 degrees of loft. Not trying to be critical just trying to better understand.

      I thought the starting point of 9 degrees on the driver seemed a bit odd unless they were just using it as a reference point to work up from. She should be using lots of loft. Not even sure if 10.5 is enough. Also I thought they might go with a less blade-like iron (although those muscle backs are beautiful irons) and look at something like the Mizuno Hot Metal which I believe is more game improvement. Maybe she's a better player than I think.

    American Golf isn’t that good for fitting especially if your paying a lot for clubs, better off with a real custom fitter, 99% of the time AG will just try and sell you what shafts they have in stock and is generally not the best fit you can get,
