      Thank you. Those are very kind words indeed. And thank you also for subscribing. It's a very rewarding 'pat on the back' we feel when people do so.

    You spoke of the Protestant mentality the Catholic mentality the Hindu and so on. This is important because the Faith must be shared by the parents to their children when very young to help them ward off brainwashing by the education system in the future. Otherwise said George Farmer to Michael Matt in recent interview, by the time the children reach 18yrs of age you will have the enemy right in your house

    I salute you for not using Power Point as YOUR most potent tool so embraced by modern "intellectuals" but instead using your own thinking and speaking from your own depths, the two educational methods almost forgotten ( or rather cancelled) in our culture by "modern man" ( women included in this rank :).

    Many non religious and religious people go mad and history confirms both. Ecclesiastical verse chapter 7 v 16. We never retain the balance between the two.

    Ok, but don't faith claims need to be held up to the light of reason? Should one be granted wholesale authority to engage in absurdities "because God said so"? There are 2 valid sides to this dialectical coin.: faith and reason must be held in balance.

      Exactly. The Catholic faith have always stated that. But I think you might have misunderstaood, or perhaps I didn't explain myself well (more likely). The point is that we put Reason, not only above faith, but discarded faith altogether and placed Reason, Rationality, above all else, placing man above God, the earthly over the spiritual when in fact they should never been seen as contradictory. That was, in general, the point I was trying to make. Thank you for listening. I appreciate your time and comment

      Does a child need to reason through the love of its parents? I think you have conflated faith with belief.

      But are supernatural faith and reason not mutually exclusive? There is no apparent connection between the two that would allow a "balance".

    • @Interpretingtradition
      @Interpretingtradition  18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It is not a question of balance. It is a question that they ARE NOT AND CANNOT BE CONTRADICTORY. If God is truth, then there's nothing a man will find in his reason that will be contradictory to that truth. If his reason tells him, however, that 2+2=5, that is not according to truth, therefore his reasoning will be wrong. In other words, the maximum truth at which reason can arrive , if indeed true, will never be contradictory to God who is THE WHOLE TRUTH. Our reasoning truth, the truth we arrive at through our reasoning power is 'partial', so to speak, even if true. The Whole Truth encompasses our partial reason.

      @jamesrobertson9149 To respectfully jump in, reason has its presuppositions that are primary to a materialist worldview and can’t be justified without faith.If there’s no metaphysical arena then we are assuming the constancy of nature,
      Why wouldn’t the laws of logic, math, reason change(evolve) and religion would be the superior evolutionary adaptation for passing on genes.. And the materialist can’t justify mind, logic, maths etc.
      We are so throughly post modern that we can’t see past this “rationality” or “truth” as not having justification in a purely materialist view outside of axioms.
      We describe phenomena to a point where people demand an explanation or oughts to the mystery. It’s unable to as you can’t get an ought from an is.
      Most people have faith in the current psychologism rooted in scientism.

    Repeat same narrative and many will believe it is true
