If Hikaru knows a movie is being made that's sole purpose is to destroy his life and career, then the fact he seems to be specifically working behind the scenes to ensure his children are all involved is terrifying, since it means Hikaru is one step ahead and this movie won't have the impact they're intending it to. I just don't know what his motive is.
I wrote on reddit in my theory about Kindaichi that he actually pretended to be drunk when Aqua talked to Taiki in order to spy on their convo. He might have told Hikaru afterwards that Aqua thinks his father is death. At least he could have learned that Taiki is actually Hikaru's son if he didn't knew already. Might be a stretch but would be interesting. Remember Gotanda's "Pro's never get drunk"? Well.. I'm pretty sure Hikaru didn't randomly show up at the Japan Actor Award. And I predict that Hikaru is observing Aqua's path for a very very long time. The next time we will see a scene with Kindaichi will probably be a huge plot twist. He didn't show up since the leak about Ai's children. We maybe get a weird convo between Taiki and Kindaichi since he's playing "lalaei box office star" for the movie. Frill: I think Hikaru send her the text messages. His pfp in the messanger was a bottle of alcohol - might be hint to his image of being "a drinking buddy" like for Yura. After Hikaru got Yura out of the way, he used Frill to push Akane out of the race in order to secure the role for Ruby. Interesting lore from an old video game: okami.fandom.com/wiki/Shiranui Shiranui is a patroling wolf of "Kamiki village" and "The wolf kept a watchful eye on anyone who ventured outside the village" We know that Frill knows about anyone from the industry, it's very early on established when she recognized Aqua's performance in "Sweet Today" and said that people on her set talked about it (very sus). And during the audition with Akane and Ruby her performance about "lies" was a story about a wolf that is coming.. hmm :) Aka is such a troll! Here is my super schizo take on Hikaru: He's the reincarnation of Gorou's grandfather.
Wow, the drinking buddy connection with the pfp is quite a great catch. It makes me more confident that Frill is indeed connected to Kamiki. And the lore of the game is interesting. Your take sounds very plausible. I'll definitely research the game to see what I can find :)) Can you link me your theory on Kindaichi? I'd like to read it.
@@SylvanesW Sure, the title is "Theory: The Mystery Man from Lalaland" . It's an older essay and many details I probably would look at differently today. However I focus on the idea, that the pairing of Akane and Aqua for the Tokyo Stage Play was deliberately designed by Hikaru and Kindaichi in order to develop Aqua's acting.
now this also begs the question, why would hikaru want ruby to play the role? We already know that the sole reason aqua is making this movie is in order to get revenge against his father. Why would hikaru be helping him? it just doesnt make sense.

I don't think anyone acknowledges her weird eyes. then they are like the star eyes a visualization for us the audience. but what I find weird is how healthy or stable she is, in a series with twisted adults and broken child entertainer. Considering she has long, black hair and cat/snake like eyes it's quite possible she represents a black cat, which is said to be an omen of bad luck. Either that or she's a snake as in a shady person

What I just never got around is…
They never changed their surname.
Hell, everyone can put 100 and 100 together since I think most people knew Ai her surname
I think the surname is common enough for people to not notice.
if 'they' refers to the twins, then Ai surename was 'never' made public as said by akane when deducting their father, which stops her to 100% says kamiki is his father. Although she has pretty much enough evidence to deduced it. But for the public, they dont know AI surename hence, was not able to put them together.
