    What a great idea!!! How long did that cook for? And did you need to add more wood?

      Hi Matt. The wood boxes burn very fast so I had to add some bits of wood that I usually use in the fireplace. So this was a mix of 50% wood from th ewine boxes and 50% holm wood. This burned for 1.5-2hours to heat the oven. Then I closed the wooven door to it extiguishes the fire and kept only the embers. The meat was on the oven for about 3 hours only with the residual heat from the oven, not the direct fire from the wood burning. It was a pork belly done Bairrada style (pepper, basil and garlic) and two small lamb legs 😋

      That sounds awesome!!!!! I guess that brick really retains the heat very well.

      @@matthewwagner1951 that's the idea. A good oven should retain the temperature for 7+ hours... After 4 hours you just slow cook with the residual heat. When you come here again you will try it 😃
