Been waiting on this, I spent the first week in September on a solo hunt in unit 34. What an experience. First trip out for an elk hunt ever, came back empty but learned a lot. Drive from TN back and forth gives a person plenty of time to reflect and appreciate it all.

I used to hunt big game in Alaska. We didn't always get what we came for but we always had fun.
