This song hits my soul and I'm flooded with memories of the sweet innocence that I'll never get back. But I am so lucky to have experienced a time when life was so fun and simple.

When this song came out, I was in high school and worked at a Men’s Clothing Store (Go Places) at my shopping mall after school. My girlfriend and I were pretty serious then. A year later in ‘89 we got married and still going strong in 2019. This song has always meant a lot to us. Every time I hear it just transports me back to those days when life was simpler better music. Thanks Richard Marx.

for sure the 80's was the peak , I just commented on the outfield's song lose your love , I said that the 80s were the best , we had malls , arcades , junior high school dances , skate boarding , movies like the Goonies , Karate Kid , Rocky 3&4 , Back to the future , Lost Boys , Miniature golf at Golf and Stuff , and great songs like this one along with Lose your love , Forever Young , Stevie B's spring love , Fantasy Girl and many more . I have been watching 80's movies with my 11 yr and 7 yr old daughters and they love them . They are more wholesome and they have a message , Boy do I miss the 80's

Pois Deus relata o céu e a terra é o trigo o que passará entre a agulha é escrita a qual a obra está sendo feita

Growing up during this time in 1988 was so awesome and magical..The 80s music was simply incredible. No childish lyrics. When we werent cynical about love. So glad I was a kid and teenager during these times before social media and cell phones and 9/11..We use cell phones but if it was all taken away, we could adapt easy and live just fine without it all like we did in the 80s and 90s. Richard Marx is simply one of the greatest songwriters ever.

    Endless Summer Nights
    Richard Marx
Summer came and left without a warning
All at once I looked and you were gone
And now you're looking back at me
Searching for a way that we can be like we were before
Now I'm back to what I knew before you
Somehow the city doesn't look the same
I'd give my life for one more night
Of having you here to hold me tight; oh, please
    Take me there again
    Oh, oh
And I remember how you loved me
Time was all we had until the day we said goodbye
I remember every moment of those endless summer nights
I still recall the walks along the beaches
And the way your hair would glisten in the sun
    Rising in the afternoon
Making love to you under the moon, oh
Do you remember all the nights we spent in silence
Every single breath you took was mine
We can have it all again
Say that you'll be with me when the sun brings your heart to mine
    Oh, oh
And I remember how you loved me
Time was all we had until the day we said goodbye
I remember every moment of those endless summer nights
There's only so much I can say
So please don't run away from what we have together
It's only you and me tonight
So let's stay lost in flight
    Oh, won't you please surrender
And I remember how you loved me
Time was all we had until the day we said goodbye
I remember every moment of those endless summer nights (Oh I remember)
And I remember how you loved me

I remember this as a hit on the radio, but now that I'm older I can hear so clearly what a well-written song it is. Lots of layers, cool bassline, some neat key changes, and of course that sax solo rules!
