Love the sprinkler stuff. Makes me feel better about procrastinating that project myself. Thanks for showing how you do it. Moving that bad boy to the edge will really help weed control. There is no need to water areas that dont need it, just encourages the weeds. I moved 4 of my bed zones to drip and its awesome, soooo many fewer weeds.
6:29 - thats a PVC "coupler". Learned that one recently doing some hose-spigot repair thanks to yanking too hard on a hose lol. This piece is designed primarily to repair/extend a run of PVC or CPVC (outdoors here in FL) piping. Crack your pvc pipe? cut it straight, put on a coupler, and now you can keep running the pipe to wherever you are going.
Greetings from Nassau, Bahamas! There is a saying when Florida sneezes we catch a cold lol That holds true when it comes to climate shifts and droughts. It has now been about 28 days since we had any significant rain which forced me to re-do my entire irrigation scheduling and coverage. I have been doing the manual hand watering day after day to cover areas where the irrigation was a bit lacking but I decided this weekend to buckle down and run some new lines for more coverage. My new lines aren't as pretty but its getting the job done so my lawn can survive this drought. The positive thing is I am absolutely dominating everyone in my neighborhood and probably most of the entire island but continuing to watch your videos and staying motivated to ensure my lawn remains lush and healthy!
@ConchienceClothing loved it! I've just fitted a whole irrigation system as well. I'm trying to get the best lawn in my neighborhood. I follow everything LCN says👍
I bought some Imodacloprid from your store and will be applying tomorrow. Would’ve done it today but we got hit with some rain in South Florida. No complaints here, as you said it’s been dry. How timely Al! I have some grub patches and they are torching my yard. Never had them before. I did the pull test and there they were! Grub X going down tomorrow! I also picked up a bag of BioAdvanced, so thats going down on the back yard. (I have 16k sq ft total). Great content as usual! Thanks!
I also just raked the hell out of my lawn I had too much "Thatch" from multiple (2years) mulching. Realized that from a previous video, and Scott from Scott's is telling me to feed my lawn, so I will.
Warm weather in the pacific nw has grass growing for the last month. It been rain for a week then 70 degrees for 5 or 6 days...rinse and repeat. Mostly kentucky and fescue in our area. Wish we could have those much broader leaf grasses here!
Liquid is typically cheaper than granules, I've used both and have great success with both forms. Guess it just depends on the person and certainly what equipment and time is available. Great vid LCN, you always do good at keeping us informed and entertained. Love the innuendos 😂
Early May (NE Ohio) I put down GrubEx. In early July I tried BioAdvanced because I was having some spotty grub issues. A few areas got worse and I had spots of dead lawn, inspected and it was grubs. UGH!! We had a huge Japanese beetle problem this summer. I'm going to try the liquid Acelepryn for future treatment.

Yes. Essentially 6 to 9 months. Great product. It has fixed my grub issues which were horrible 2 years ago. But that's only part of the story. The half like of the active ingredient, according to the EPA, IA about 1000 days. So you could skip every 3rd year.

I'm just asking because I like to work on my own sprinkler system if I can and have a couple of trouble areas due to evergreen trees being installed after the sprinklers were installed. Longtime landscaper here 🙋🏻♂️… My theory is that most hotspots suffer from reflective heat and reflective light from the sides of houses, buildings, structures, parked vehicles, house windows, white vinyl fences, sheet metal sheds, and blahblahblah…. The spots are already getting the heat from the sun itself, then a window or whatever just reflects and shines down on those spots like a magnifying glass on an ant. Most hotspots I find are almost always on the southwest exposure of the house where the sun lives all day long. I went with chlor-AN-TRA-nili-prole Last…. What do you do when you make a super thick herbicidal milkshake in your sprayers?
The product labels for the liquid and granular Acelepryn say this for white grub treatment: "Irrigate turf immediately after application or allow rainfall to move the product into the soil."
My understanding - per watching their product videos - is the “convenience” of not “having” to water it in “right away” - but allowing you to wait until your next irrigation cycle or rainfall. It’s not harmful to people or pets if it sits on the grass prior to irrigation. But, yes, eventually, it DOES need to get watered in to become effective.
I have lava rocks beside the walkway that leads to my house. I use a weed burner attachment for a propane tank and burn the weeks in the rocks. I think I paid $50 at HD, but I've seen them at Harbor Freight for $20. In case you don't have enough tools in your garage.. 😂
My earthway spreader doesn't really perform well below 15 setting. At 15 it rips below that it's dismal. Anyone else have this issue ? Something I should check on it ?
yes I noticed that too, but their other literature says it does not have to be watered in. My advice is to be safe and water it in anyway, it definitely won't do any harm.
I spread diatomaceous earth in my yard and it grew fast and green. Unsure why thinking it killed some lawn pest and added some kinda nutrient to the lawn.
Helping mom revive her lawn but I think grubs are her last worry. She has so much chickweed creeping in from her neighbors and areas where trees once were that's now filling in with weeds.
@thelawncarenut 15:14 Great info Brother i love it. I got this Gang of 3 Raccoons keeping my lawn from looking like the Freedom Factory. Them B!tch÷s digging for gosh dang grubs. Just dropped a bag of Sevin around and got rain a day later. I'm still going to get a bag of grubX to get it good because Maines getting more rain soon. And you just edjecated me up Thanks Buddy!!!!❤❤❤
I'm going to go with Chlor-an-tran-il-ip-role, based on the fact that usually anything with trani isnt actually pronounced that way. Tranylcypromine pronounced as (tran il sip' roe meen)
I have a degree in entomology. He makes it easy for diy lawn peoples to get the jist of it. He didn’t apply Milorganite legally in his state of florida when it comes to phosphorus
Does imidacloprid kill grubs as well? Thats what I put down.. ha! I just saw your last years video on this.. you reused the same clip.. I expect new drawings next year.
Too funny I literally just did this today with my K1s. They also stop turning and you have to adjust the right side return area. Super dry spring here in South Florida ❤
I have that same dry spot here in Palm Coast. I think when the builders laid the Sod, they gave two craps about putting the sod on good soil or even turning the soil. They just laid the sod on hard compacted dirt. So maybe the stolons never made its way into the soil. I don’t know. Tomorrow I’m going to use my aerator step tool to open some holes and soak that part of the lawn. I did have a few digging animals around. Moles maybe…. I laid some Grub ex. They told me at Home Depot to kill their food source, then work on moving them down to the neighbors house.
I'm hooked on phonics. www.yardcarebootcamp.com/
This is speaking directly to me. I'm taking care of my parents lawn this year and it was absolutely ravaged by grubs last summer. Midwest Indiana.

My earthway spreader doesn't really perform well below 15 setting. At 15 it rips below that it's dismal.
Anyone else have this issue ? Something I should check on it ?
Are you sure that you don’t have to water in the liquid Acelepryn? I checked the label and it says water immediately after.
yes I noticed that too, but their other literature says it does not have to be watered in. My advice is to be safe and water it in anyway, it definitely won't do any harm.
0:30 I’m jealous. I gotta get my citrablue fixed.
I spread diatomaceous earth in my yard and it grew fast and green. Unsure why thinking it killed some lawn pest and added some kinda nutrient to the lawn.
8:00 Every man needs a "bone box." Mines is filled with automotive goodies but same concept.
I'm going to go with Chlor-an-tran-il-ip-role, based on the fact that usually anything with trani isnt actually pronounced that way. Tranylcypromine
pronounced as (tran il sip' roe meen)
I have a degree in entomology. He makes it easy for diy lawn peoples to get the jist of it. He didn’t apply Milorganite legally in his state of florida when it comes to phosphorus
Why not just use imidacloprid for grub prevention
you can, it works great - but that is older chemistry and these new chems give you longer residual and more broad spectrum control
As usual appreciate your expertise 👍🏼 Now off to purchase some grub ex in the AM.
Al did you put your Arse in to it!!!!!!

Normally i don't care about grubs, but something has been digging them up in my yard and tearing up the grass.

Nylon on nylon should not need Teflon tape.

All the lawns in Tampa area are drying out so no need for grub treatment till we get some rain.

The lifestyle of a grub is.... short-lived. Party like it's March, 1999!
