Last week we had reports from pilots that a guy wearing a jet-pack was flying near LAX. Now we're going to hear reports of a dude with a huge smile riding a suitcase down the highways of New Hampshire!
We were boondocking at a wired place in California near the Salton Sea when this fellow rode up in a sort of scooter that looked like it might very well have started out like that, however when he got off, he lifted the seat and got me a beer, it was a cooler!
In what has become a "throw away" society, you are a breath of fresh air. I recently bought a burgman scooter that did not run for three years. Changed plugs, put in a battery and some seafoam to the stale gas. Fired it up, took it to my motorcycle mechanic, got it inspected and have put about 600 miles on it in 3 weeks. Everyone said don't buy it cause it doesn't run. Now I drive by and beep. Thanks again and keep em coming.

After watching all the wrenching and salvaging of original parts, it was really good to see it all come together and run so well. The battle scars on the side covers, the bent frame cage and all the rest of life’s dings is what gives the scooter it’s character. My usual Sunday morning. Hot coffee, a cigar, and a new Mustie1 video.
That must keep you regular :)
The bracket for the shock absorber swings all the way back, it has a notch to lock it into the bar on the back.
I wonder if it had previously swung forward out of lock during ride and hit a bump to cause that bend/kink. The geometry makes it look like it could happen easier in that case.
That's what I was thinking as well. That is the main support for the weight. Probably got bent originally from not being locked into the rear bar.
Kid with a new toy 👍😂
Yip this is my thinking also. He was so close when swinging it around I thought for sure he'd try it.
Thankyou, was hoping i wasn't the only one that picked that up! The bracket is quite cleaerly shaped that way!
Great to see it going again, a truly quirky device typical of the era....
The way you cleaned that tank was genius I never thought to ever hook it up to a car tire that is awesome
Looking forward to seeing the whole thing
I agree I would love 90 minutes of part 3 😎 (we need it)
"I can get 70 miles to the gallon on this hog!"
The pull starter was facing up, now it's facing the rear. You'll need to move it back to be able to start it easily with the cover on...
fantastic to see you bring this to life...you make my Sundays. Best to Brian.
And I thought I might be the only 55 yr old kid out there! That burnout was the highlight !
Been following you for a little while now and you never disappoint man. Awesome shop! All your vw's are bad a$&! That belongs with your vw lol 😆
