That's awesome! What a crazy adventure! So jealous up here in Northern Canada where it's -26 Celsius and 1.5m snow! I'm riding vicariously through you and other TH-camrs until snow is gone! Cheers!
Man I wish I had the nuts (and the fitness!) to tackle a trip like this! Definitely think it's time to trade in the road bike for a DR or a KLR again and get out into the scrub though.
Cool vid man you do make that sand riding look so easy with a fully loaded DR650 but I can see some of the hard work in pushing and shaving here and there nice work 🙂🤙🤙
Excellent stuff matey!! Only way to know your ability and improve on it is to ride solo. Ha!! So much for adventure schools that apparently teach you 'HOW TO RIDE' 😆
@@SKIDSnSTUFF True. That it’s why it’s important to ride within your ability and not to be afraid to easy off the throttle. After all it’s adventure we seek not a race where in. All good matey 💪🏽✊🏽✊🏽

This video alone just got me to subscibe to you mate. Being that I live in Albany, I've been eyeing up that track between Cape Riche and Bremer a bit recently, glad to see it's worth the ride. Must admit I was a bit stressed for you when I saw you riding across Reef Beach and getting stuck in the dunes. They're dangerous dunes those ones, better off staying nearer the water so you don't get stuck or dead in those dunes. Anyway, looked sick fun, definitely gonna have to get the bike through there when I get a spare weekend.
Absolutely a great ride heading through there, I had no idea what to expect just didn't want to end up stuck alone in the drink with a toasted clutch after a previous ride (and knowing my clutch was on its last legs) so had to stay on the dry side. Welcome aboard
i'm from nsw only been to israelite bay once buts it's spectacular i guess your back now, but to anyone else going there take plenty of water and fuel it's a long way out in either direction.
Thanks for the feedback, the damn adjustment layers done something weird right before the last couple steps before exporting, screwing up all the colour tweaking i had spent hours on and I was pissed so didn't fix it all again
I cant hear what you are talking about on my phone but Maybe the pillion pegs, have recently removed them cos the bearing hole is flogged out so they rattle about. Also could be the safari tanks brace banging about
Thank you. I was watching the episode in awe at how capable you/the bike is. I've just bought a dr350 and haven't ever ridden much off road before, it has Mias E07s on and its like I'm skating around on an ice rink as soon as I hit any gravel. I checked today and they were running at 20/28 psi so hopefully that's why. @@SKIDSnSTUFF
I like an immediate connection with the bike so won't use risers but do have slightly higher bars so my hands rest naturally on the grips without having to feel like reaching in seated position. I think first one has to decide what kind of rider they are. Risers are going to destroy your feel for the bike when the real riding happens but again that's fine if your only cruising about and never attacking
SKIDS - Only half way through - what a freaking journey !!!! Maybe I could make it - but that is some tough stuff..... Great adventure for sure !!! "CODE 4" CRAZY WINDS
@@SKIDSnSTUFF always is in this neck of the woods! My DR is in a thousand bits at the moment, loving your content (infact just shifted tyres and fork springs on your feedback!)..
Epic. I wouldn’t have guessed that you would make it across the dunes / beaches. You should start an adventure riding school.
Haha i didn't know what I was doing myself!

Glorious man, glorious. Well done.
You certainly like doing it tough. Fantastic video
Hectic adventure.

I've gone down to 10 on the rear in sand without slipping the rim... but maybe I just got lucky! Epic riding and beautiful country!
Nice!!
Love how you just back yourself & get through it. Another great ride, thanks for putting the effort into sharing it with us.

Awesome scenery throughout the south. Who needs to do a Simpson desert crossing when we have all that sand right here in the south 😃
And don't gave to ride shit roads for days to get there
Hey Skids, great journey mate some epic scenery and tracks, fantastic editing with very well strung together footage.
Glad you enjoyed it Stan
what an epic trip man! makes me wish i had a bigger bike for the longer hauls.

That was one awsome adventure, a bit of everything. Go the dr.
Man you can ride 👍🏻😁
Great video…
Thanks! 👍
Awesome Vid mate. I think it's one of your best. And the might DR650 - what a machine. I'm inspired. Thanks.
Thanks for stopping by Kyle
Great ride Ben, where you take that bike loaded up is a credit to your riding skills 👏
Cheers mate!
She loves it! Go the bushpig. Esperance is a true pearl, very friendly Parks and Wildlife office staff. Love the theme and edit, nicely done.

What kind of tires size ,brand are you using in this video.
Thank you.👍
Some bogus Dunlop on the rear. Motoz desert front.

What an awesome video! Cool riding, great scenery, good music. Looking forward to parts 2+3! What drone do you use? Cheers from NZ👍
Thankyou it's one of those DJI Minis I forget exact which model
Nice one bro, you made that entertaining. Was that a 605 or 603 rear and a Desert HT front ? Front seemed to float well in the soft stuff.
605, wouldn't run one again. Yeh the desert Ht front is mint
another level of moto travel documentary, speechless.. please consider color pallete equalizing between your cameras.

Great stuff! How do you run your drone while riding. How do you mount the Drone?
I carry the drone in my backpack. Send it up, dump the pack and controller, ride through, then come back for it
Hey legend love the vids what navigation app you using ? Cheers

That was some epic riding. Can I ask what tyres you had on
Dunlop d605 rear 4.60, and dead Motoz Desert 90/100-21. Changed to a shinko 244 rear for the next leg of the journey.
Awesome video! One question. I have the same ratling noice on my DR that you get in 20:55 - 21:00. Do you know the caus of this?
I cant hear what you are talking about on my phone but Maybe the pillion pegs, have recently removed them cos the bearing hole is flogged out so they rattle about.

@@SKIDSnSTUFF Alrigt, that might be the issue! Thanks for the response, and keep up the good work :D
What tyres did you run for this episode?
Front tyre Motoz Desert HT 90/100. On the rear I started with Dunlop D605 which is utter shite, swapped out to a Shinko 244 in Esperance.
Thank you. I was watching the episode in awe at how capable you/the bike is.

@@SKIDSnSTUFF always is in this neck of the woods! My DR is in a thousand bits at the moment, loving your content (infact just shifted tyres and fork springs on your feedback!)..
The DR 650 is a great bike but the safety state government legislated against them.
*finds new beach*
"I may not make it across..."
*chooses violence anyway*
Bit scary out there alone knowing if she gets stuck I'm screwed, but I have this problem where I can't turn back
that cant be stock suspension and you're a better than average rider
its got a couple tweaks, check our our bike check video :)
I'm such a chicken shit to do such a middle of nowhere ride I'd have to almost carry a spare bike to make sure I make it thru! Ha ha
Couple spare tubes, plenty of fuel and a spare coil. The next vid is where things get remote!
Absolute f@ck@ng legend
Cheers Alex!
