I'm trying to "guesstimate" the production date of this video. Part of that could be done by devoted Bish fans who recognize her wardrobe. I studied organ with Boyd Jones at SBTS in 1997-98, just before he moved to Stetson Univ. so I knew Lloyd and Marilyn Mims. Marilyn appears to be rather young in this video, so I'm guessing that this was produced roughly 20 years ago, well before their daughter Virginia was born. Ms. Mims won her Grammy in 1990 and retired in 1995 to begin teaching fulltime.

Mozart must have developed this particular work from his experience with special-events compositions at Salzburg Rectory. Which entry number in the von Köchel catalog?

There is an absence of spontaneity and brilliance. Listen to NEZHDANOVA
    and RETHBERG

If you want to see the second generation of Mims sopranos, check out Virginia Mims. She's young but has already done Juliette's Waltz, Ah! Je Veux Vivre.

Is it just me or is the tempo all over the place?

Yeah, the voice is too heavy. Check out the Helsinki version with a light coloratura. Clean and faster.

She's no Dame Kiri, but not too shabby.
