I am totally inpressed with your capabilities: speech, ability, appearance, keeping to the topic, presentation, etc, etc. You're going places, lady.!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic presentation. Thank you. I have been making clothing for over 50 years but never made fun stuff for hobby or accessory so enjoy your easy to follow directions. Thank you so much. I have a ton of small pieces of all sorts and since I don't quilt, I can use some for headbands now.
For anyone who wants to make this but thinks they can’t because they don’t have stretchy fabric, I just made it with a very non stretchy fabric then just sewed a piece of thick elastic into the back instead of sewing the ends together and it worked great :)
I always love your tutorials. I am sharing this one with my 8 year old great niece who got a new sewing machine for Christmas! Great project for a young person. Thank you for bringing us these great tutorials.
Made 2 headbands out of old t-shirts and I made a roll of fabric towels. I love your tutorials. You make things very easy to understand and follow. So thank you and keep the ideas coming.
Thank you. I like your style to explane the process. You give only important information and leave the chit-chat out. It makes it easy to watch. Subscribed to your channel.
Perfect! I like thicker headbands and they are so hard to find. I usually wear my hair in a high bun. I'm starting a new job soon and I want cute brightly colored, thick headbands to wear lol. Gonna get started, thank you!
Thank you! Very clear and informative, cant wait to try! Update: Made this today and it came out great. Made two using two different old t-shirts. One was regular cotton with some stretch and one was quite stretchy like the fabric in the video. Although I have a smaller head I found this headband to be too small even with the stretchy fabric. So I would suggest making the length 23 inches instead of 21 if you prefer a less tight fitting headband. Best xo!
Superb video! Clear and friendly, and leading me to believe I could learn how to use the sewing machine I bought during lockdown then never used. Any chance you can recommend a tutorial for absolute beginners to get enough skills to turn the machine on, thread it, and know how to make this project?
Thank you Vanessa. I love these great turban headbands!! They are just big enough to make up for my loss of hair-line and looks nice, unlike the little bands. You rock! I found Jenny..learned how to quilt, then I found you. Can you imagine my great surprise /Surprise when I saw you on the MSQC!!!! Loved it. I make bread all the time now, & cassarole carriers for gift, thanks to you.
You could've made one big loop, twisted it into a figure of 8 and folded it in half. It would give you the exact same design. No need to make two pieces then sew through 4 layers.
Love this! Thanks, clear and easy lesson! And your fingers aren't in the way. I had some unfinished headbands-non stretch. But now you've inspired me to make new ones! Thank you!
You did it so easy, I have watched so many of these DIY on making headbands...omg, you were straight forward and quick, thank you so much. Now I can get started on mine.
Thank you. I pulled my hair up or the first time in a turban style headband and I loved it. I sew so I knew I could make these but was not sure how. Thanks for the really clear and concise tutorial.
Cute. Can't wait to make this. I'm working on make-up brush holders today. Yesterday I made kid's chef hats. I used the free motion feature on my machine to freehand the child's name across the band. Super cute. I'll post pics later
Thanks to your creative tutorial, I took one of my favorite sundress (that shrunk from too much wear) and converted it into this headband. I made two ... Thanks so much!
So yah. I think I'm going to be doing a lot of sewing tomorrow and I will be making at LEAST 3 of these. LOL. This was a very clear tutorial. Thanks. I wish I could see how to do a cleaner finish though. I hope that you will do a video with that option one day.
I really love this and I will make some for my granddaughter for her spring fashions, they [daughter, son-in-law, grandson and granddaughter] are coming in May from Pureto Rico. Her [granddaughter's] hair is curlier than mine so, I was wondering if you have any hair care videos for children/adults, if not will you make some? You always have the most informative videos ever. Thanks, Ann
Nice and simple . I will be trying this with suede leather soon . I think that I will end up having to place a piece of elastic material at the sewing point tho ...right ? Being how leather doesn't stretch that easy .
I am definitely going to make some as I just got a new sewing machine and I am so excited. I've been going through some of your old videos. I also want to make the little box pouch. I was wandering if fusible fleece would work with this project.
Toward the end of the tutorial you mention there are other cleaner ways to sew up all four ends. I can't quite figure out a different way to do this. Could you explain or do a quick video of a cleaner way to close up the four ends?
🤗🧵💕Thank you, Vanessa! I want to make some headbands as little gifts and didn’t know where to start - I LOVE the way you teach and I appreciate this video so much. (Another crafty Gemini)
I am really late, but the quarantine has me needing to do something with my hair, other than allowing it to look as though I stuck my hand in an electric socket. This will definitely help. Thanks sew much for the video. For me it's right on time.
Very cute. These would be great for when you are doing mud masks and such. I find that the premade ones in stores are cheap quality and don't really last and alot of times they have no personality. love the Polka Dots!
Awesome video. Clear, concise. No chattiness.
I am totally inpressed with your capabilities: speech, ability, appearance, keeping to the topic, presentation, etc, etc. You're going places, lady.!!!!!!!!!
this seriously is one of the best, straight forward & crafty videos ever. great job :)
Your bright personality is a delight. I don't even sew, but I enjoyed watching this video.
No matter how dated the video is, the information is current. Thanks 😊 very applicable and easy to learn.
Seriously the sewing tutorial I've seen, so indepth making it so easy to follow 👏
Great step by step instructions for a beginner sewist!
Fantastic presentation. Thank you. I have been making clothing for over 50 years but never made fun stuff for hobby or accessory so enjoy your easy to follow directions. Thank you so much. I have a ton of small pieces of all sorts and since I don't quilt, I can use some for headbands now.
What a great tutorial. The instructions are clear and simple and the video was spot on. Also you didn’t repeatedly say ‘go ahead and….’ Love it!
What a great tutorial!
OMG. .I have been wanting to learn how to make these for me and my teenage daughters. Glad I didn't skip you on the video I was watching.
Yay I wanted to make these and your instructions are clear and make me feel like I can do it. 🎈
For anyone who wants to make this but thinks they can’t because they don’t have stretchy fabric, I just made it with a very non stretchy fabric then just sewed a piece of thick elastic into the back instead of sewing the ends together and it worked great :)
Thanks for the clever tip :)
I always love your tutorials. I am sharing this one with my 8 year old great niece who got a new sewing machine for Christmas! Great project for a young person. Thank you for bringing us these great tutorials.

I like seeing your little tips like how to flip a strip inside out with the safety pin!! I’ve been struggling with that when a stip is super skinny!
this video is old now but l just got interested in headbands projects recently thank you very much.....good explanations
Thank you. I like your style to explane the process. You give only important information and leave the chit-chat out. It makes it easy to watch. Subscribed to your channel.

This will be one project that we will make this summer teaching young girls to sew.
Thank you Vanessa. I love these great turban headbands!! They are just big enough to make up for my loss of hair-line and looks nice, unlike the little bands. You rock! Vanessa, how did you know I need some neat headbands. Love, love, love this tutorial. You are so clever. Thank you.
You could've made one big loop, twisted it into a figure of 8 and folded it in half. It would give you the exact same design. No need to make two pieces then sew through 4 layers.

Love your style. You are a great teacher. Upbeat and can hold a person's interest. :)
You had me at Gemini. Y’all my favorite people!
I think it would be fine.. just sew a bunch of stitches to secure the ends and use a stretchy fabric. Have fun!
Love this! Thanks, clear and easy lesson! And your fingers aren't in the way. I had some unfinished headbands-non stretch. But now you've inspired me to make new ones! Thank you!
I am going to make so many Christmas gifts this year thanks to you!!!

I love how easy you explain everything! Thank you..Def my favorite video so far!!
I love the dots too. Thanks for the idea. Dee
Start off with 4" wide x 16".. if it's still too big you can just cut it at the back, trim and re-sew. Have fun!
Cute headband, I'm going to produce a few of these over the summer period. I want to wear one too, thanks Vanessa ;-).

I love me a headband!! I’m definitely going to try this.
This is great. Love your tutorials! You’re a great teacher
Wow this is so clear. Good job!
Fabric looks cuter as a headband than on the bolt. I wouldn't have chosen that fabric, but it looks really cute once it's done.
Hermoso, me encanto, me podrías decir por favor donde conseguir el cortador de tela y la plancha, gracias.
Toward the end of the tutorial you mention there are other cleaner ways to sew up all four ends. I can't quite figure out a different way to do this. Could you explain or do a quick video of a cleaner way to close up the four ends?
I love it so much! -Whitney

I am really late, but the quarantine has me needing to do something with my hair, other than allowing it to look as though I stuck my hand in an electric socket. This will definitely help. Thanks sew much for the video. For me it's right on time.
You are a very good teacher!! Thanks for the great video.
