Enter into MF investments with GOAL. Let us say that you needed 10 lakhs by end of 2025. However if your MF return by 2023 itself is 10lalhs.... then please withdraw from it and move to safe investments. May be a liquid or debt or even fd is ok. This is my view
Hi Sir, I am working for a corporate company. In the past five years I am getting only single digit increment. That is even less than a inflation rate. I have put my hardwork and sincere to my Job. But even I am not able to get good increment amount. But everytime my company says your already in the higher scale of salary so we can't give you much (later I came to know they say this to everyone 😀). Please put a video sir, how the salary fixed in corporate for lower, middle and higer management. How to crack good increment? What corporates expect from us?
Dear Vijay, As usual well explained and clearly stated with data. I had asked the question about lumpsum investing few weeks ago and decided to jump in full based on your response. Thanks very much again for your time and sincere efforts.

Vijay Sir, Based on widely held view, I thought Dollar Cost Averaging was an unshakeable fact for lowering costs. Amazing that you show it is not the case based on data!! I just subscribed to your channel 👍👌
Few yrs back i load 500 rs in grow app, but didnt invest anything..i tried to get the amount back but thrre was no optuon and grow denied to pay back..very pitty!!!
There is a say that it takes 10 years to see to double your value in investment so if you put lump sum the same consequence. I am not saying it is wrong but your mind would not accept if it just returns like 5 - 10% of the value in a year. Therefore it is best to go constant amount but regularly and there are lots of factor to consider.
SIP I go for 100% Equity funds. But lumpsum I invest in Debt fund and then do a STP over 1 to 2 years. (Understand I lose out on Capital gain), but used to feel principle is protected... You have always advised "any surplus, not needed for 5 years, put it in Index.". That has definitely made me relook at my approach 👍 Many thanks for all your tips!!!
Sir The groww app problem is done by the icici AMC not groww the problem with groww is they didn't put funds in our demat account that led to the controversy. ICICI AMC is more responsible than groww. When your funds are in the AMC they can transfer the funds within their fund house so groww can't take any actions.
Fact based decision always clear and concise. It is good survey and eye opener sir hats off keep it up. True purpose of education is to train the mind to think - Albert Einstein 😊
Theoratically, yes, if the time duration of investment is a few decades (investing for grand children?). Most of the middle class may have goals for 10 yr, 15yr or max 20yr. Someone investing for 10 years, may get a heart break if the market tanks as soon as he invests all the money. In case of a severe crash, the recovery may take 4 to 6 years before any profit is seen. We should not ignore the emotional aspect of investing. The rupee cost averaging (incremental investing) should not be used for maximizing the return. It is for reducing the downside risk. For investing around 10 yrs, even a mix of lumpsum (50%?) and remaing in SIP can possibly be a lesser riskier option (havent backtested this idea). Alternatively put the remaining 50% in a short term debt fund (or FD) and deploy the money when the market crashes 30% or 40% which is a very likely scenario in 10 a year period. Not for maximizing the return. But for peace of mind with the expectation of modest return. Just my thoughts, not based on statistics.
Hi Bro. This is best video for me. now i am in position to invest INR 5L in Index fund. based on your advice and my own understanding. i am already start investing index fund by SIP. Tq so much for your information and support.
@@InvestmentInsightsTamilSir, I ask in Mutual funds. I have withdrawn some amount from 1.25L but the premium got debited. I need to take the returns alone without disturbing the invested MF Lumpsum. Reply please
@@InvestmentInsightsTamil Got it! I know you made it simple. When I teach kids about finance, I talk about importance of minimizing losses than maximizing profits - this Math cannot be overlooked. One Q I ask is would you invest in High Return/High Risk or Low Return/Low risk. Say High Return/ High Risk 50% one year and 35% loss next year, whereas Low Return/Low Risk earned 15% one year 5% next year which end up leaving you more money.
