im from Belfast, Northern Ireland!!!! never heard of Michael Connelly before, until i randomly came across "The Scarecrow" in a shop!!!! Im half way through, and im thoroughly impressed with it so far!!!! I certainly intend on reading alot more Michael Connelly!!!! Great Stuff!!!! Cant believe took me this long to discover!
Great interview, due in no small part to thoughtful questions and an interested interviewer. Too many interviews I've seen lately lack these qualities. This one however, had my interest from beginning to end. A good conversation on both sides. My thanks to both of you (not that either of you will be reading this 6 years later, but I always like to express my appreciation when I think something is done right).
wow. thanx for putting this up. i am a fan of michael connelly and his works. when i started reading his books, i was inspired to write one of my own. but i wish i had some facts on how the Boston PD works and how the SUffolk county courts work. i finished my book last month, but now i think im gonna look for some advice from cops and lawyers before thinkin of publishing.
I think he's easily one of the top novelists at work today. His books -- especially Hieronymous Bosch series -- are such a close study of our times that they go way beyond the crime/suspense genre.
Thanks, Ken. I probably won't be interviewing Michael again soon, though I may have the opportunity to chat with him at a conference this fall in Indianapolis.
Like his writing....How come sooo many people on videos, including interviewers and those being interviewed and purporting to be teaching or in the know.........continuously say "you know", '"kind of", "sort of","like".......? Interferes with listening and taking them seriously...for me

Michael Connelly helped to renew my faith in crime fiction to entertain and engross my need to read. He is one of my 3-4 favorite authors.
Wonderful interview. I’d love to hear your last (?)7 questions!!
Great to hear MC discuss things so generously.
