Regardless of what directors think or even what Titus thinks, he's the best actor I've seen in years. I say that after the Lost episode. He's just as talented as Clooney in my opinion.
I'd never heard of him until 'Bosch', he is definitely one of the best American actors around. He is also highly amusing and a very talented mimic. Check out his chats to Kevin Pollack on Kevin's podcasts. The interviewer here is highly annoying.

…go for it Titus, but you are NOT going to escape ‘Harry Bosch’, ÉVER! • I sort of really liked ‘Sons of anarchy’ where the bad guyz become endearing cause what and how they do, is real - in THAT kind of Life. Some part of that you carried forth and transcended into Harry. It contributed well to the beauty, the magnetism of his ‘many layers’ of complexity, his ‘inner storms’ reality…the Character in constant combat with himself. And, yet, regardless (or because of?) getting it done differently, very very effectively - to the scorn of all the bad guyz…SEE?!? Thus, GO FOR IT! 👊
Watching this in April 2020 during lockdown, and I can't stop yelling at the screen "Stop touching him!! Step Back!"
