My prayers go out to your husband and pray for healing. I know what he is going through. Two years ago, I fell while walking on an uneven sidewalk . Cracked my sternum and broke two ribs. I was in so much pain but as you said they can't do anything about it. The doctor told me 6 weeks and I would feel better. Believe it or not it was exactly 6 weeks. There is hope at the end of the "tunnel".
Hi Colette. Just catching up on my flosstube watching and it’s been wonderful seeing all your beautiful WIPs, finishes, starts and stunning lace work. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy your trip and best wishes to Chris for a speedy recovery. x
Hi Susan! Thank you so much for your well wishes. When Chris went to the doctor I remember thinking about your sister at Stitch-Con and her fall. Hope she recovered fine. I think Chris is gradually getting better, it’s been three weeks since he fell. I’m not sure if you ever got my message on Instagram thanking you for the gift card at Christmas. If not thank you again so much! It’s still amazing to me the new friends I have met through out the world because of floss tube. It’s amazing! 🤗💕
Having Santa's happy face smile at you will surely cheer you on! I am always amazed to see lace work done - so many bobbins, so many pins! I'd get so confused! I admire your skill so much, Colette. Prayers for your husband - and for his helpful wife!
Stitching, lace, I love seeing it all. Thanks so much for showing us everything! I hope that your husband is feeling better day by day, and I hope that you had a very Happy Easter!
Collette, thank you for sharing your beautiful cross stitch projects. Your lacework is gorgeous but it looks so complicated! I wish your husband a speedy recovery. Enjoy your trip with your girls. Happy Easter, love and blessings xx
Hi Lidia!!! I watched your video but didn’t get a chance to comment yet. You have been on my mind for several months and now I know why. Wish I could give you hugs and even more wish you were going to be at Stitch-Con. But at least you are following Kim’s and my marching orders to get a finish on Time of her own. 😂 Take care of yourself and remember we love ya! 🤗💕🤗
Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!!!!!!!! Your lace blows me completely away. You are so talented with all the needlework you do. Garden Prelude is stunning. I hope you and your family have a very happy Easter. Take care.
Another great video Colette. I love all your pieces. You’re right about the Santa. Once you put in the back stitching, it certainly pops. Plus I agree with you about the green glove. :-) Thanks for all the beautiful pictures. I always stay till the end, so I don’t miss any of them! Happy Easter! 💕🌷
Thks Kimberly! And thanks for your feedback on Santa’s gloves. It just looks too stark and not part of his costume. And thank you for enjoying my pictures, they are part of me and my life. 🙂
Oh Collette!! I am so impressed with your lacing, what an awesome talent you have. I loved your Santa on the stocking so fun to see. I wish your husband the best, what a challenge for you both. Take care of you. I hope to see you again at Stitch West this fall. 😊
Thank you so much! He is gradually getting better so there is light at the end of the tunnel! Hope to see you again at Stitch West also! Please come over to my table, I would love to see you!
Hi Collette. It’s always nice to stitch along while you show what you’ve been working on. Your lace projects seem so intricate. I’m glad there are people still engaged in this art form so that it continues to live on. I love your bird house SAL and if I didn’t have enough projects already I’d join you. I hope your hubby continues healing and that you have a wonderful trip with your daughters. Have a blessed Easter.
Good morning Colette. Having my coffee and enjoying my visit with you. You are rocking the bobbin lace. The complicated, many bobbins in the first two projects are awe inspiring. peace&love
Good to see you again. I think this is the first time I've commented, but wanted you to know I'm also stitching 'Birdhouses'. I'm lagging behind some because I restarted the project to have a different fabric. So, I don't know if I'll catch up or not, but it's lovely so far. I have neck pain so I can't always keep at it too long at a time. And, I'm also a quilter, which also divides my time. Like you mentioned, it's hard to keep up with two or more hobbies at one time. We just need that 24 hrs of hobby time a day!!!! See you next time. God Bless and Happy Easter!
I started out watching you this morning while piecing another quilt, but i just had to stop and watch you with my full attention. Lol. Your progress on your wips this month is great! So many beautiful stitches. My mind boggles at the lace work you do. It is stunning. Please please keep us updated on your projects. The sheep one is awesome! Great news on hubby's recovery. Have fun on your time away for a few days. You certainly deserve it. Happy, Blessed Easter. Yes, we are all cracked a little but still good on the inside. ❤❤
So excited to join you Sunday stocking sal!! I have been wanting to start some so you truly inspired me! Love your lace! What a talent! Sorry to hear about your husband wishing him a speedy recovery!
Yay! Thank you! Which stocking are you working on? I’m really glad I started working on them it has been fun! Thank you for your well wishes! It will be gradual but I think he is on the mend. ❤️🩹
So sorry to hear about your hubby, ouch! That’s a tender area. Glad he’s getting better. Nice progress on your cross stitch even though you did more lace. Your lace will be gorgeous. Can’t wait to see it progress. Have a fun safe trip with your daughters and Happy Easter! 🐇
Love all your projects! Your lace is so intricate! It blows my mind every time I see it. I hope your husband heals fast. I slipped here in Oregon when we had heavy ice a few months ago and hurt my ribs. They are just now getting better.
WOW, Colette, you are a busy gal. I love the piece you are doing for your granddaughter. It's beautiful. The lace is amazing. So sorry to hear about your husband. Ouch!
I feel for you. My husband just finished 3 bypass open heart surgery, so I know how hard to help them. It has been 3 to 4 weeks, and they say he can drive next week. I hope this works for you husband to. I love your cross stitch, but I am more proud of how far you are in lace the binche lace in fun but you have to pay attention. Have a lovely trip and I will see you when you have time
Happy Easter ! I loved seeing the snow (coming from summer it’s lovely to watch). Your project are wonderful and I finally succumbed to the HAED lacemaker after seeing it on your videos.
Collette you did get alot done with everything around your poor husband. I wish him a very speedy recovery! Thank you for sharing. Have a great trip with your daughters. Happy Easter!
You got a lot of stitching done even with all of your pretty lace work and knitting! Thank for sharing all of your pretty projects! Our daffodils were all buried in snow a couple days ago here in Western Montana, but fortunately the snow didn’t stick around, but the cold has!! Take care and may your Easter be blessed also!
I understand about working on one of our many crafts and not wanted to stop. I’m making beaded stars for my children and grandchildren. Well don’t you know then I had to make one for my sister! Now those are finished and I’m back to cross stitch. I always enjoy seeing your bobbin lacing. 80 bobbins😮 Thank you for sharing I’m sorry to hear of your husband’s fall. Prayers
I hope you had a lovely Easter Colette and that your hubby is feeling much better soon. Your Bird Houses are cute and I love the change you made. I haven't been keeping up with mine 😂 take care.
Gosh, scary news, and I'm glad your husband is on the mend. He will have a love/hate relationship with PT (I'm just off three months of it myself for a tumble last fall that tore the minscus in my knee.) Tell him to listen to his therapists and not second guess them or try to do more. I love all your projects that you've been working on. I'm doing the Birdhouse one, even though I did not get into the Stitch West list and am so far down the 'wait list' that I doubt I will get an invitation. I did the 'Oct - Dec' sections, then hopped over to the left side since January, so it's good to see what's coming up with those who started pure left to right. Safe travels on your upcoming 'girls' trip.
I will make sure I tell him! Thks for the info. You never know with Stitch West, you might still make it. Glad you’re enjoying the birdhouses! Happy Easter!
