Congratulations on your two beautiful finishes Colette. You have been very busy and have made great progress. I hope you have a very special time with your sister and create lots of beautiful memories. Safe travels love and blessings x
Sisters are the best! Sounds like a fun and informative trip. I have 3 sisters and we do long weekends in the spring and fall. So happy for you and have safe travels.
So glad I got to meet you at the lace convention! Would have loved to got together for a bit of stitching, too, but you're right, it was a busy scene! Safe travels, and will look forward to a future rendezvous!
What a treasure pile you got from a retreat, how do you keep in mind all the goodies you have so you can use each and every one of them? No wonder you have so many non full coverages😊. Hope you'll get over the fence soon, it can be a good option for stitching and talking time😉 Have a great trip, Colette and stay safe! Can't wait to see your progress on the lace maker when you'll be back and to hear about your adventures 😊
Everytime I go to a retreat I always say, “I’m not buying much, I already have more than I need!” Ha Ha! I have two cabinets in my craft room that hold my fabric and a floss cabinet for the threads. At least it is semi organized! 💕💕💕
Nice to see you Colette! Your upcoming trips sound like lots of fun, and I hope you enjoy your time and have safe journeys. I’m stitching on Spring Cat Sampler in my car today, while I wait for Otto to finish his art class. There is construction going on around me so I didn’t film from the car after all. Hopefully in the next week or so. 😊 Happy stitching! -Leah
@@RhubarbPatchStudio Hi Leah! Too bad you couldn’t film from your car. I like “ floss tube in car” videos. 😄 I’m on the road starting tomorrow morning. Cheyenne, Wyoming is my first stop. Then Nebraska, Missouri, and finally Tennessee. Will make some lace at the national convention for a week then pick up my sis (Allison) at the airport and we will start our family ancestors trip. I know I’ll be exhausted by the time we’re done but it will be amazing too! Hope to get some stitching in every night but will have to see how tired I am. I love the seasonal cat samplers and look forward to seeing your progress on the Spring one. Hugs🤗💕
Hi Colette. It was wonderful seeing you again at Stitch Con. You’re such a sweet person. Great video. Your finishes and projects/progress look amazing. Safe travels. Enjoy! 🌷❤️🌺💕
Hi Kimberly! It was wonderful seeing both of you again too! Question for you, did you send me the picture we took together? I can’t seem to find it in my photos. If you could send it again that would be great! Hugs! 💕💕💕
I'm glad you had fun at stitch con! Sorry I wasn't there to see you. Sounds like you'll be in my neck of the woods on your sister's trip- I live in North Georgia. I hope you have a wonderful time! Happy stitching 💜
I know! If it was any other time I would look up my stitching friends and visit them. So many I could see! Oh Well… I plan on doing one new retreat in 2025 so let me know where you’re heading and maybe we can meet again. The clock must be ticking on Time for Herself. Can’t wait to see your finish!
Hi Colette I'm back and have been away for a while. I am so far behind on floss tube and I apologize. I loved seeing your finishes and WIP's they are all beautiful. May was a very busy month for my hubby and I. We went to Indiana to see my granddaughter graduate from High School. There were 1.360.00 students from her class and it took about 3 1/2 hours. Whew!!! She will be going to Ball state University and is majoring in Art and her brother will be starting High School and does Hockey and Football. I started 37 new projects this year and added 4 more for the month of May and I will be doing the Christmas in July with Dena Half cross stitch. I kitted up about 12/15 new starts so a total of 50/55 new starts this year and loving it. When I get some done hopefully this year I will send you some pictures of my progress. In the meantime Happy Stitching and have a safe trip and always be kind. God bless Pat
Wow! You have been busy! Congrats on your granddaughters high school graduation. And 37 new projects! I thought about joining in on Christmas in July but I’m going to be gone most of July, so I decided just to concentrate on my two sals while I’m traveling. Hope all goes well and you get lots done! 💕💕💕
I appreciate your positivity and thankfulness you expressed in your video. I needed to be reminded of the positive outlook. Thank you for that. It meant more than you know.
Sorry I missed you this time around between Stitch-Con Weekend A and B. I stayed at the Hyatt during A and hoped I’d find you stitching in the lobby. Keep on stitching. Full speed ahead.
We ended up coming just before B started, Brenda had to work up to the day before we left. But now she’s retired so who knows what we will do next year!
Hi Colette, lovely to see your finishes, WiPs and Sals. Enjoy the Lace Convention and a great fun trip with your sister in ancestry country. Coincidentally my cousins are in Tennesee and Georgia😁. Happy travels, look forward to seeing your photos on your return. ❤🌼
I'm watching this kind of late, but I hope you have had good travels. We're heading west in a couple of weeks, and I'm looking forward to that. I love all your projects!
It’s so good to see you again and wish you very happy travels with your sisters! My 3 sisters and brother will be with us in Western North Carolina from the 1st to the 6th…not too far from where you’ll be. I hope it’s a very blessed trip for you all!
Congratulation on the gorgeous finishes. Beautiful stitching as always. Enjoy your trip and thank you for sharing all the beautiful photographs. Happy stitching.
I am way behind on watching videos, and I'm so glad to have seen yours tonight. You are home from your travels, I think, and I hope you've had a great time. Where in north Georgia are your father's people from? My husband's folks are from that area, Eastanollee, Toccoa, Athens area.
Ours are from outside the Blairsville area, little community named Choestoe. Fairly close to Vogel State Park. Yes we got home about a week ago and my sister flew back to her home just before the airline computer glitch. Hope to get another video out next week.
My husband and I were away for a couple of days, meeting up with friends in the eastern part of the Netherlands and so I watched your video today. Your travelling day. 😊 As usual I enjoyed watching your progress on your stitching. But most of all I wish you a nice lace convention and together with your sister a fantastic trip. Look forward to hear all your stories!
It should be interesting, fun, and hopefully no problems! I already started traveling and am close to the lace convention hotel now. Last night I was surprised, I got almost 300 stitches put into the Birdhouses. Will see how I do tonight. 💕💕💕
Hi Colette….I just caught your video #119 and love the birth wreath you made for your niece. So pretty and I like that it is ageless, a framed piece that she could hang in her house as an adult. Nice idea! I hope you had a great time with your sister and found that the ancestral house was still there in GA, when we are kids we never think about our siblings not being nearby. I miss my brother and his family, I am overdue a visit home! And a lace festival sounds like it would be a lot of fun and I cannot wait to hear about your Alaskan cruise. That is on my bucket list! Thank you for your videos….hope you had no tornadoes or crazy storms! Cathy
Hi Cathy! Our trip was almost perfect, no storms, hurricanes, (actually no bad weather to speak of, just hot) no car problems, hotel problems ect. We had one glitch but it was minor. We visited 2 presidential libraries on our trip (Eisenhower and Truman) They have a fun library passport book that you can have stamped at each library. We thought we had lost our passport books so had to buy more and then found them when we got home. They were buried under all our souvenirs! 🤪 So now we have two with one library stamped in each! 😂 We did find the old house even more fallen down and in disrepair but was still there! So much fun history!
@@highwaystitchercoletteking5633 wow, I love the idea of the library passports…..inspires you to visit more libraries.. I live near the FDR home in Hyde Park, NY and I love visiting historic sites and gardens. And of course, I think Eleanor was amazing! She had her own cottage. It sounds like your trip was a great time! Thank you for making your videos!!
