I have a G20 gen 5 w exactly the same double feeding/ jamming problems. Same case metal shearing bits all inside the slide & the same stupid knife sharp square edge you rounded off. Followed suit. All nice and shiny & ROUNDED now. Checked my XDM-E, Same part is square but no sharp edges like the Glock. IT has NEVER failed no matter what I feed it. Loves Underwood & Buffalo Bore hot bear rounds. Did find a tiny bit of brass case particles. Rounding that leading edge tomorrow. THANKS for the heads up!! More tools in the home gunsmith library.
Great video. Did the extractor and disco rail fixes and made huge difference! Having trouble finding +10% mag springs. What exactly am I looking for and where can I find it?
I have this exact gun and it’s a beast, eats up Underwood 180grn XTP’s and range ammo all day. Turkish guns can be just as good or better than our beloved American brands that have bloated prices & poor QC before leaving the factory. I’ve had junk cheap Turkish guns, and I’ve had expensive junk American guns. Check each gun in person before purchase or your rolling the dice no matter who built it or how much $ it costs.

L.M.A.O! NOTHING compares to American made 1911's!
I have had similar experiences as of late. A number of recent American brand 1911's, including a high-end one had significant quality issues out of the box. Two even had some MIM parts that prevented trigger work from being done on the stock parts. I would prefer to buy American made 1911's but I am no longer under the allusion that they will all be carry ready out of the box.
@ Yes! It’s not so hard for people to admit after they actually buy and test these guns! How are you liking the Yukon Carry?

LOVE your channel sir, but as a gunsmith, I just will not spend money on Turkish garbage. They use inferior metals and other parts in their firearms. Spend the money on an American made Wilson combat, Ruger, Smith&Wesson, or Colt so you don't have to change out a bunch of parts trying make these run.
Thank you for this information! Buying this gun tomorrow and this will help make it a keeper.
Well done sir!
Ahh, that what those scrape marks were from. Thanks. Have taken my 1911 completely apart, so this should not be a problem. Great video

I might also add an EGW Flat Bottom Firing Pin Stop to help slow down slide unlocking.

Have you seen Colts “QC” lately? Or Kimber or Fusion? They aren’t all roses
