It's on the Smaller side of Flagship Dolby Atmos Soundbars but it really does punch above it's weight and is ideal for apartment or similar living. We'll look at it's strengths and weakness as well as some tips to get the most out of the system. The Bose Bass Module 700 and Bose Surround 700 are great companions but are they worth it for you? Hi , I have a question hoping you can help. I have Bose 900 and Sony tv X80g and unfortunately my tv only has arc ( can’t let Dolby atmos pass through ). If I get fire stick 4k , would I able to play Dolby atmos movies from Disney plus ? Thank you for your help.
I know I will sound rude sorry for that, but its a suggestion, sandbars mostly are used mostly for watching movies or series and seldomfor music, so can you please tell us more about movie/series performance rather then music playing capability and music apps available for that particular soundbar..

Just a question. How to I know if my tv can produce atmos? I have a tv with a hdmi arc. Is that enough?

I’m buying a Samsung 85 in 2022 Frame tv I have Bose 700 setup sub and rear speakers already I’m looking at either buying the Bose 900 or will the Samsung sound bar be better ?

I just got the Bose 900. Out of the box, the bass is a beast. Probably the best I have heard. The treble, high ranges could be better

Hey Mate. I'm also in New Zealand and was wondering how you managed to get your hands on a pair of Bose 700 surrounds noting the site only offers the surround speakers. Have you used both? If so was there a notable difference? Did you have to use a power converter if you got them from the states?
That’s cool. What part of NZ are you in? I’m Waikato based. I bought them from the states through B&H photo and video. I used My US to ship them here. I paid about $250 NZD for shipping and $650 nzd for the surrounds. I haven’t tried the surround 500 so not sure of the difference but the 700 surrounds are bigger and look a lot nicer so I would imagine the sound is better. The 700 surrounds use a standard figure 8 cable so I just swapped it out for NZ figure 8 cables and it worked great.

Sir I have t bose lifestyle 600.will this soundbar 900 with all t accessories be better to listen to music than my bose lifestyle 600 ?
You probably have a sub.. So you are all good. Although soundbar 700/900 has a bit better music experience it is not worth the cost for you. soundbar 900 would be better for movies, due to atmos but not that much for music. If you are looking for experience that music from all speakers is at the same volume, that you should go with sonos arc with sone one rear speakers and a sub.. Sonos has a function to make a full surround that is the same loudness from all the speakers around you.
Love from India. Just wanted to know whether you can connect wired sub woofers to the 900 if you want more punchy base than the Module 700. If yes, can you suggest few ?
- One can connect the bass module 700 via a wired connection as well, but one cannot connect with other subs. You can always add another module 700 to it though.

I have both soundbar and subwoofer 🔊 and I gotta say is monster on sound I still need to add the rear 700 speaker 🔈

I agree. I just added the 700 rear speakers. The sound is subtle, but it really gives more depth to the sound. It is like the cherry on top

I have the 900, dual subs, and omnis. When I first bought the 900 there was the issue with the sound intermittently dropping out constantly and my display is the A90J. After a while they melded together and the issue stopped. Then another issue came about whereas I was getting a weird, annoying sound coming from the subs. The sound was wi-fi interference caused by the wi-fi router being placed too close to the 900 and the wi-fi in the 900 and the router were interfering with one another which caused the annoying sound. The wi-fi router must be a minimum of three feet away from the 900 for the issue not to occur. I moved my router as far away from the 900 without using an extension cord as I could and the sound stopped. Every so often there is a trickle but hopefully that too will dissipate in time. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the heads up. A friend of mine had the Bose 700 with the exact same problem- router interference. How do you find dual subs with the 900? And they both Bose module 700’s?
@@archwaytech no, one is a 300, and the other is a 700. I have one next to my display and the other in the corner behind my recliner. I love hearing the bass nomatter where I am seated. The 300 because of its age seems to be losing its punch because it's not as forcefull as the 700 and will eventually have to be replaced.

@@santostinajero Do not buy the Bose 900. I have tried every remedy I can think of to no avail. I have spent a considerable amount of time on the Bose website and conversing with support about this issue without a positive outcome. I have dual bass modules,one is a 300 and the other is a 700. I had been informed in the past that all accessories were compatible, but just recently on the website I read that the 300 can't be used with the 900 because of protocols so basically I have a working module that I cannot use with the 900. I purchased the 900 in October and it stopped working about three weeks ago and had to be replaced. I sent it back on Monday and received a new 900 that Saturday. During that time I used my Soundtouch 300 with both modules and not once did I experience any issues at all. I could just use the 300 with both modules but it's sound is extremely weak compared to the 900. So I was faced with the delima of being able to use both modules with the weaker 300 or using one module hardwired to the 900 and I went with the latter because of the more powerful sound. The final conclusion is that the Soundbar 900 is the problem and that is the bottomline and I am seriously considering getting rid of it and going in another direction. The problem is that are some type of issue with most soundbars. My advice is not to buy the Bose Soundbar 900.

I just listened to the Samsung Q930 with sub, Bose 900 with 700 sub and Sonos Arc . I thought the Bose had the best sound.

I am a novice looking for some best home theatre experience and music with surround. There are options my friend is selling his bose lifestyle v 35 and lifestyle 535 ( on a website) . Till now I was considering greatest soundbar with sub from Sonos and bose 900. But coz of price I am looking for the used lifestyle V 35 or 535... Am I compromising heavily on the sound quality and surround effect..Plz help
I personally wouldn’t buy it as I find Soundbars far easier to use and you have to run cables for the rear speakers on those Bose systems so it gets messy. How much is he willing to sell it to you for?

I have seen 900 soundbar with base module..its quite impressive
But will I get a good surround experience or I have to spend extra on rear speakers
This soundbar was a beauty but the newone the ultra is even better and if you have the hole system already OMG is like a masterpiece

I liked watching your video and that’s the basic reason why I tuned in because I’m trying to find the best settings for the best sound so far I don’t have the bass I just have the rear speakers and the sound bar so any tips you can give me I’d appreciate I’ll have to watch your video again

How you got apple music to play atmos
1) acquire Apple Music subscription
2) Acquire Apple TV, TV, Bose or any other dolby atmos soundbar, and necessary cables.
3) Hook Apple tv up to TV via HDMI and sound bar via HDMI eARC port
4) Log in to your apple account on the Apple TV to access Apple Music
5) On your Apple TV, play Atmos soundtracks on the Apple Music App.
I recommend to stop puting side speakers and atmos speakers to 100 and just adjust to bose sound signature for a week or two.. Aftr that period you will start to notice how bose imagined that sound should be in your room and you will love it.. When you are for example watching a movie, you should not hear everything all the time around you but only details that matter.
Thanks for your suggestions ,just picked up the900 Barr and 700 sub. brought back to Sonos arc and its GEN three base. I felt that the 900 Center channel and dialogue are much better then on the ark. But everybody has their own thoughts.
I completely agree. I just added the 700 rear speakers, and I noticed that they add depth when appropriate. You don't always hear them, but they definitely add more dimension

I recenty got the soundbar 900 and it’s not working with HDMI but only with the optical cable. The TV cannot detect it whenever I’m with the HDMI

Hey Omar. Just checking you’re definitely plugging the hdmi cable into the port on your TV labelled ‘ARC’ or ‘eARC’? Also what brand is your TV and how old is it?

Oh sweet. Nice TV! Setup heaps of those a few years back. If you’re running it without the sub I normally turn it up to around 3 or 4 for bass and leave the treble at 0 but turn the centre channel to 4 or 6. With the sub I’d go 3 or 4 on the sub, bass at 0, treble at 0 and centre at 3 or 4. Use that as a starting point and then play around with the numbers to suit you. Hope that helps. 😊
@@archwaytech Sorry to bother but I’m having a connection issue with the soundbar. In some cases i had to switch off both the tv and soundbar and power on again in order for the sound to play.
It seems detected on the tv but with no sound unless I restart. Any idea what this might be? Many thanks!

of course having dialogue mode on would kill the bass, its for movies, not for music

Does the karaoke machine have an audio output? If so, what type of connections are they? (Most common are RCA- red, white and yellow cables).

@AKA BOSSING23 You would need the following products:
Analog to Digital Converter: amzn.to/3ulldZj
(There's an optical cable included with the converter)
RCA to 1/4 Cables: amzn.to/3qoKgth
Plug the 1/4 side of the cable into the mixer.
The RCA side into the input of the analog converter.
Then the optical cable from the ouput of the converter to the soundbar.
Change the soundbar to the optical input and then sound from the mixer will come through.

Just only 5.1.2 channel is not enough. Nowadays it should be at least 7.1.4 , 9.1.4 and 11.1.4 for discrete sound of dolby atmos and dts x. Detachable wireless seakers also highly recommended.
What? The bose system is 7.1.2, or 7.2.2 if you add two subs - that is plenty to get started with atmos.
A real dedicated system that has 7.1.2 - youd be amazed how much you hear. The extra 2 up-firing channels do help i cant argue that but atmos is more than just height.
