Possibly, ignition switch. However, first check battery static voltage. Check fuses if any blown, replace. Main relay sends signal to pump, but during hot days, contacts expand and connection is lost on circuit board.

Changed my relay out have an appointment tomorrow.. car driving fine for work and started at gas station.. I smoke a cig and go to move to a better parking spot only to have an crank no start checked my fuses nothing wrong.. ecu? Fuel pump? My pump has not been priming like it should..

And this is my last resort but with high hopes. This has got to be the problem. This will be thanks to you buddy. The diagram helped me see through it all since ive went to school for hvac.
Looks like this was the problem man. I just took it for a spin. It stalled on me like 3 times but didnt struggle to turn it back on. Usually i would have to turn the car off and turn it the key until i would here the pump, then turn it on..but this time i just left it on hit the switch and turn on right away the 3 times it happened. Its gotta be it!. Ill keep takin it for a spin and come back and keep you guys updated.
I cant see the contacts on your new ignition. So im guessin that by u saying " well theyre gone". Im guessin contacts should have more raisivity. Or more material should i say so that probly why my car still turns off. Im gonna go see a new one.
Very good video; the issue could have been a sensor that tells the ECU the engine is running. in case it fails, ecu thinks engine does not run and cuts the gas. Anyway the ignition key procedure may help me troubleshooting issue I'm having on my '95 Accord. thanks
Hey!, I have a slight diferente problem, when cold, I turn the key over and all the lights stay on and the main relay doesn’t do nothing because I don’t hear it, but if I leave the key turned on eventually the main relay will do it’s thing but the car has a really hard time to start up! Also when cold and eventually started up, the idle is fine but if I put a little throttle and let it off the idle goes waaay down but coming to normal in an instant!, any advices??? Thank you!
A little help plz. Got a 97 civic 1.6 sohc cranks but wont start. At first it had no spark so ended up changing the distributor and got the spark bu wouldnt turn on. Long story short ended up checking fuses, main relay, spark plug cables, spark plugs, fuel pump, fuel injectors, crank shaft sensor and still nothing. Inserted scanner and it read backfire on piston 4 and 2 so checked timing and it turns out that timing was wrong. placed timing in correct position, Took engine head to the shop and checked valves, got a new head gasket placed everything in place and still no start. Any Tips and advice would be helpfull.
When you had the key in the on position did you hear the relay click? I have a 94 civic and it was running and shut off now it won't start back up. When I have my key to the on position I don't hear the relay click.
My starter is good an battery an alternator but when I turn my key over no click n won't start but when my car gets pushed an have it in gear it starts up its a 94 civic ex an its manual

I understand that, but you can still use this method by removing your inspection cover by the block and transmission and stick a screwdriver in there.
