The holy grail of vintage enduro’s!
Had two back in the day. Got one again about 8 years ago!!
Got one of these in 1973 when I was 18. It was an amazing bike. I have a Harley Sportster now and I love it but I would swap it for a RT3 if I had a chance.
I have one! And a couple Harley’s and a Suzuki 1500 Boulevard… but Seriously This Thing will shortly be in top top shape for fun. Original, and I didn’t mess with the paint or anything… it’s a bike my Brother in Law has had sitting in a barn in Colorado for 30 years and I’ve got the carb and everything else with the motor tight and it has good compression and fire now, I just need to finish it up soon to get it back to Colorado for Christmas… I’m in Southwest Missouri
2 stroke yamaha's are smooth and powerful and you got to love the smoke from their exhaust.
With the amazing care of Kaplan Cycles that Yamaha I am sure was cared for and turned out very sharp. Expert care by Kaplan Cycles there is no worries.
When I was 12 my dad had a 360. I had an AT1 125. My 125 would sometimes not want to start so, I'd get to ride my dads 360. It was awesome for a little 12 year old kid. Teaches you throttle control. Nice example of the 360. Thanks for keeping them alive and making me smile.
My dad had a 73 360, it had a red plastic tank and grey plastic fenders/both aftermarket- & was set up for scrambles/motocross- had some things done to the engine- that was his pride and other than his ironhead sportster when i was a wee kid and it sparked my love of bikes being around his abd riding on the back of both of them. That old 360 scooted for a heavy ol dinasour- that was a fun bike- I regret it's not in our family anymore....mom sold it. Thank you for this video tremendously I miss my dad and it was nice seeing this ❤️👻💯
Hey J.R. you have become every bit as knowledgeable and well spoken as your Dad. Bravo young man🤝
Had one when I was 16 loved it but hated it when my buddy rode with me with his Can-Am 250 TNT I could not keep up to him for love no money!
I had the mini-bike version, 60 cc, and wanted one of the 360s really bad. I was just 14 yrs old tho. Ended up racing motocross on a honda Elsinore 250. The Yamaha still thrills the heart tho, from childhood days.
Nice looking classic. Never thought I'd say that because I had a RR2. Loved it and rode it everywhere even off road.
All of us 60 YO kuckledraggers drooling over these beauties haha I rode one in 83 it was 10 years old at the time and still rode well, bought if for cheap! imagine if you bought and stashed em instead of a 401K?
I especially enjoy, seeing bikes that I've owned or have ridden. I've ridden one of these a few times in the late 70s. It was a big change from my little KE100 and other smaller bikes. I remember it being a big, heavy beast with lots of power at low rpm.

Seeing this video Brother I’m impressed… and I thank you for Your Sharing The Info. Not even the Yamaha dealers could cross reference it for me to get one. Thank You for the Video my Friend
Jr. is a Beast, a Wealth of Knowledge, Wise way beyond his years, and extremely mature for his age. I don't know any 22 year olf kids that are running their Dad's Business Empires. I was too busy, out all of the time, at the age of 22 sowing my oats, foolishly thinking that I was Superman. These days, soon to be 50, my body tells me that my mind lied to me at the age of 22. 🤣🤣...Jr has humility. I didn't have much humility, whatsoever back then. We Live. We Make Mistakes, and If We're Smart, We Learn From Our Mistakes.
I just had had one of those in 125cc it had the MX kit conversion added
Juniors specialty is early yammy enduros 🤟💯
I do love this… I have one almost identical.., I tried to find a Throttle cable/oil injection cable for the longest time and Just made Something that’s working good… and now somehow someone posted this here on TH-cam… Wondering if it’s just for my request…? I absolutely couldn’t find it when I was looking… I’ll probably get one of these or maybe two just in case, I have a friend here who also has an almost identical one… he owns a motorcycle shop here in Missouri
❤ love it
Nice old Yamees
You could swap the jugs pistons and head in minutes between these beauties
I had one in early 80s took off all the lights rode it to death even used 30wt for premix cause I didn't know any better I could not kill it
❤
