I've had the 09 CRV for 4 years now. Bought it used with 75K miles on it. I put 120k miles on it and hadn't had any issue. Just regular oil and fluids and tires. It's a very under powered though and MPG never gets to over 20.
Just purchased a 2007 CRV 2.2 diesel 131000 miles, 18 inch wheels. and it doe's 38mpg around town and 47-50 on motorway better than my van. It was garaged so bodywork looks like new, and well looked after with full Honda service history. Love the shape of it and Couldn't ask for a better drive.
My 2011 Honda Pilot blew an engine after 45000 miles, and it was replaced under warranty with a remanufactured engine. I was told I was getting a new engine, but when the valve cover gaskets leaked after 2 months, I was told it was remanufactured. I have no faith in the vehicle, and American Honda will not help me. I am a LIFETIME Honda owner, and have had about 15 Honda's since 1983. Today, Loretta, the so-called customer service rep, hung up on me when I said I was recording our call for my records as well. Before she hung up, she told me that my request to get a new service warranty, on the car I have to buy to replace this lemon, was denied. After a two week delay in returning my call, that was all she could do. I asked for the info in writing, and she told me that I would need a court order to get it. Not exactly the care I would expect from a company like Honda. Today, I am posting here, and my social media campaign will end when i get the proper resolution, or someone at least treats this lifetime customer with dignity and respect.
That's what you get for buying a v6 buy a 4 cylinder and you won't have any problems. I had a v6 Lexus that blew up at 40,000 miles just buy a 4 cylinder you won't regret it.

So I am not sure what some of you are hearing,or what you think that you are hearing. Both of my Honda Accords ran very smoothly,both accelerated pretty good,and again,I experienced very little road noise. They do get better mileage than does the CR-V,but I had a former co-worker who used to have one of these and she said she loved it(although she later traded for a Hyundai Elantra). Honestly though? If you really are hearing more road noise? Try switching out your tires. I know that can possibly affect the amount of road noise you hear when out on the freeway. Like I say,I did not experience any road noise even with my two older prior Honda Accords. They are great cars and like the CR-V,they are dependable. I am looking at another Honda Accord,but considering the CR-V,Toyota RAV4,or maybe even the Honda Pilot. Decisions decisions.

That CR-V is a 2010. The 2010 was after a refresh, and when they changed to that single knob radio, so only the 2010-2011 had it. And navigation was an option, so of course those wouldn't have that radio. FYI, the 4th gen was 2007-2011.
Engine is smooth and refined? You've gotta be kidding me!!! The car doesn't move until you rev it to 7000 RPMs!!! And the engine screams when doing so,. It's HUGELY underpowered!

honda has this terrible trait of road noise in all of their cars. I own one and after u get past the new car happiness , it gets annoying at freeway speeds.
I love my moms 08 CR-V But it is under powered and its small wheels and tire would be worthless off road, even with it's AWD. I work for Toyota and the late model RAV4 has an available 3.5L V6 and AWD that surpasses anything else in it's class both on road and off. If you don't believe me just look up the stats and compare.

My wife has a 08 crv. 30 mpg and never had a problem. great cars, has almost 100k on it. The only thing replaced were the tires.

Sounds like you are in need of a tune up, with new plugs, all new filters, and clean the throttle body and anything else that comes to mind.

I know this is an old comment, but a CRV and an Accord are totally different. The Accord is more luxurious driving experience then a CRV.

@vicsaggu Change the tires, ours had the cheapo continentals, we upgraded to Michelins and it cut the road noise down a lot.
