Excellent video. I agree with you about your comments about the Leica Q2M. Leicas are special cameras and not for everyone. I have the Leica Q3 and it is a different experience compared to my Fujifilm X100V. Leica puts great detail and art into the design of their cameras and it shows. I definitely would use the Q2M for street photography because I almost always convert my color photographs into black & white. Keep creating these phenomenal videos.
I’ve had mine for about a year now & I have to agree 100% with your sentiment. I was worried initially about wanting to shoot color but I watched your vids on the GR III & was able to get a deal on the Diary Edition. The combo of the two, really makes going out & shooting, fun. There is nothing quite as thrilling as printing those Q2 Monochrom images. THIS CAMERA WANTS YOU TO MAKE PRINTS!!!! I really hope that you print your work, if not, this camera is the reason to start. I learned photography from Roy Pope & he always talked about “living with your images” print them out, hang them up, contemplate your work. It will give you perspectives that you never considered.
Ah! I remember chatting with you about the Q's B&W files about a year ago, and those JPGs and RAW files just rock! And for you to get the Q2M just puts the icing on the cake! The Q2M's files are just bonkers and I'm really stoked that you acquired this rig. (The Q2M's files are so much better than the Q's files, IMO.) Since I'm not on X anymore, I'll miss your take on "nobody needs a $5k camera" posts. Heh. I'm glad you've gone and done it. You need to visit Tokyo. Hit me up.
One day I really want to try a monochrome camera. Wish there were some cheaper options out there. Fuji and Ricoh need to tap into that market. Great video dude! Loved the snow shots, perfect way to test out the camera.
@@anybodyshoots ok great that it helps! I just read that it is a common problem with the Q2M. I am still struggling with buying one because of the price - though i see them now more and more available for like 3.5K (used)

Ricoh is planning on releasing a monochrom version next year.
@ I've seen rumors of a GRiv, nothing monochrome though
Andrea Pizzini made a video on the GRIV and the GRIV monochrome a month ago.
@@selishots thanks so much for watching man
So good!
Thank you !
Am I crazy to be waiting for the Q3M? Or should I just get a Q2M?
Same conundrum here...
Get a Q2M. Probably there will be no Q3M - it has to do with the autofocus. Google it for more details...
How is your experience with blown out highlights?
I use highlight weighted metering to avoid that
