In an interview, Ren said that he has a complicated relationship with time due to his illness. He said he missed most of his 20's while all of his friends were fully enjoying their golden years, and is now beginning to have his golden years now that he's in his 30's and coming out of his illnesses. He said the feeling that he was wasting all of his prime years while time was passing him by was one of the hardest parts of being so sick.

I told my Dr I wanted a Lobotomy and he said "I would rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy" I liked that fact he used humour to help me relax which isn't easy having Depression and PTSD
I think the lobotomy was meant (at least partly) to be tongue-in-cheek. He was told that his pain was all in his head. The medications weren't helping it. So.... 🤷♀️ When it gets bad enough, you're willing to do almost anything to get some kind of life back. I'm not at that point yet, but I can relate. ❤ This song has become my jam. Especially early in the morning, with my coffee and medicine. 👍 It's comforting in a strange but wonderful way.
