Ren lived quite close to Menai suspension bridge where Joe had called from and rushed out to try to get to Joe. He kept trying to phone Joe's mobile as he ran to get to him but it kept coming back 'engaged'. However, before Ren got to Joe the number became unavailable as Joe had jumped. Joe's body was never found. Ren's song "Freckled Angels" and his duet "How To Be Me" with Chinchilla both refer to Joe and how his suicide impacted on Ren.
When asked if he had written any songs about Joe and his death, Ren only mentioned Freckled Angels (this was before the S song and for Joe. I think that How to be Me is about Ren and his personal experiences and only the last few words refer to Joe.

Ren said in his interview with Justin Hawkins that everything is planned out to the smallest detail, down to his hand gestures. So you are correct that every detail is attended to. He also mentioned the mixing difficulties that come with some of the reverbation in locations he chose, so I would assume this is not completely raw, unproduced footage. And I'm paraphrasing what I think I heard, so I hope I've gotten it right. If you haven't had a chance to listen to that interview, it's really great. Black Pegasus and Rosalie Reacts also have ones that I haven't gotten round to yet, but I'll be checking those out, too. That's why reactors are so important because of it wasn't for Dave and so many other reactors I don't know if most of us would have ever heard Ren, Sam Tompkins, Chinchilla ect because the gatekeepers in the music industry don't want music that makes you think and feel and inspires conversation about mental health and corruption. THEY especially don't want us men getting help and opening up. They want to keep us angry, sad, depressed, suicidal and violent. The music industry wants lyrics and songs about drugs and alcohol, degrading women and everything else that keeps those that listen to that trash stuck being static and never going anywhere in life. Buy their designer clothes, their alcohol, dont think for yourself and follow like sheep. There's so many amazing artists I've discovered through reactors and the record labels do everything they can to destroy them when it's reactors who get their artists music out to the masses way better than they can. When I see a commercial on TH-cam from some record label advertising for some band I don't even want to hear it and can't click "Skip Ad" quick enough. Advertisers think by annoying us with intrusive and annoying commercials when we're watching a video on TH-cam will get me to want to buy an album from some band I never heard of but it does the opposite for so many of us. We just don't care and don't want to hear it. But if we see a new reaction video from one of our favorite reactors, like Office Bloke Dave I'm 1000000000X's more likely to watch them react to music one never heard and then become a fan of whatever artist they're reacting to then I would become a fan of an artist from an annoying Ad.
