I recently heard Disturbed's remake of this incredible song by Simon and Garfunkel, which I used to listen to as a kid. Here's my own piano version. I used two tracks to add extra depth but the whole song is played in the first track

This was mine and my grandads favourite song to listen to. He suffered with dementia for 10 years to the point he didn’t know who me or my family were, but always remembered how this song went. He passed in 2020 and I knew I wanted an instrumental version to play at his funeral. I found this, and I couldn’t have found a more beautiful version. I hope you don’t mind, but we played your version as the entrance song. I sometimes come back and listen to this to remember him. Thank you.

@@openyoureyes1985 I don't like the Disturbed version. I mean, they're realy good at bringing the spirit of the song to the listeners, but it just feels like it's another song than the one of Simon & Garfunkel. But luckily tastes can be different :D

What a treasure to have this pop up ❤ The wind is howling in predawn hours, coffees hot & it’s single digit weather out . But the warmth of this classic sates . I've loved this all time favorite song of mine for many years but have never heard it played so eloquently...no singing needed.... I also loved the view of watching you play - a talent I have admired every time someone plays - wow Jen... you're amazing.
I don't know which is more beautiful, in guitar or piano, each has its way. One of the most beautiful melodies ever written, or song, in this century. Paul Simon is a genius!

Jen, you are my favorite pianist and have taught me so much. I am not formally trained but I also play by ear and your interpretations are nearly identical to what I feel and aspire to. I have practiced your “The First Time” version for hours and have it pretty darn close finally! This interpretation is brilliant too and I’m having a blast with it.
