This was mine and my grandads favourite song to listen to. He suffered with dementia for 10 years to the point he didn’t know who me or my family were, but always remembered how this song went. He passed in 2020 and I knew I wanted an instrumental version to play at his funeral. I found this, and I couldn’t have found a more beautiful version. I hope you don’t mind, but we played your version as the entrance song. I sometimes come back and listen to this to remember him. Thank you.

I don't know which is more beautiful, in guitar or piano, each has its way. One of the most beautiful melodies ever written, or song, in this century. Paul Simon is a genius!
@@openyoureyes1985 I don't like the Disturbed version. I mean, they're realy good at bringing the spirit of the song to the listeners, but it just feels like it's another song than the one of Simon & Garfunkel. But luckily tastes can be different :D

I have practiced your “The First Time” version for hours and have it pretty darn close finally! This interpretation is brilliant too and I’m having a blast with it.
