This is Silence as it sounds in the hands of Peter Vamos. A song for all-time and originally written by the legendary Paul Simon, Peter performs “The Sound of Silence” in his own inimitable and extraordinarily interpretive style. The classic folk rock ballad release in 1965 by Simon and Garfunkel led to the duo’s first recording contract with Columbia Records and hit #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in January 1966. Peter’s version is not as much a cover but like many of the songs he plays from other artists - it is homage. It is Peter’s way of taking a song he enjoys, a melody he respects and a seminal piece of art and interpreting it in his own way. He hopes that you enjoy it.
