Zakk is a master at writing ballads. Please check out "Damage is Done". Great, heartfelt vocals and a powerful acoustic solo. His version of "I Never Dreamed" from Lynyrd Skynyrd is unbelievably good, too.
Black Label Society "Rust" is an incredible tune. Just putting that out there.
"In this river" I think one of Zakks best.

My friend and me went Hooters before seeing BLS live and the girl sat us at our table and Zakk and the band were at the table next to us. After he ate, he signed autos and took pictures with anybody who wanted to meet him. Super cool dude. He never disappoints live.
Thank you so much for reacting to this song. BLS is a hard heavy band but this ballad always gets me. It reminds me of someone very special to me that passed away in late summer 2020. It still brings me to tears every time I hear it. "No more tears you'll cry." Not hardly. Thanks again for this one

Zakk Wylde is my fav guitarist hands down! Just an amazing artist. Seen him live twice.

In this river ( Dimes death really hit Zakk hard ) and try some Ozzy when Zakk was his guitarist.
He has some good stuff for a second album “book of shadows 2” piano versions of the stuff he recorded, so it’s live and it’s a different rendition of the songs but he plays the keys. He’s one talented dude and man it’s good or anything you can find where he just sings and plays the piano is pretty cool. Scars a cool one. Mellow, but you can see him in different light more so
Dude Zakks stuff is so amazing, he has some heavy as stuff where I can headband, but he does these songs too, it’s almost like a gospel kinda thing. One of my fave musicians for sure. I play guitar, and love his stuff, and man when he plays those keys too! He’s great.

For me, the 1st 4 albums are solid then they get really hit or miss song by song the next 4. Still some excellent songs on each album, but also a lot of less than stellar output, to say the least.
