At least they are not living on social welfare, instead they are working hard and contributing to local economy. I still don't understand the hate they are getting.

Media likes people who abuse government welfare programs rather than these Punjabi sikhs who are helping economy grow and are working hard.
Actually you can't find Punjabi sikh migrants abusing local traditional or welfare money.

They’re one of the most kindest, most generous and hard working people on earth.
They are fiercely independent and will not accept any government welfare even if it was offered to them.
They believe in earning their money through hard work.
Please, if you’re Italian, instead of hating them, try meeting and talking with them and you’ll realise these guys are not a liability on your economy but rather an asset.
You can find Sikhs in all fields of expertise, from lawyers and doctors to builders, plumbers etc, not to mention, the Sikh community being largely agricultural are great farmers and excellent soldiers, check out their military history.

Italy will be the next greece or even worse the next africa even north italy (the richest region) is becoming poor lot of italians goes abroad to find a normal life. Today even foreigners are escaping moreover the youngers once they get italian citizenship they leave and they are right to find work. in italy finding work was and will be difficult. When you have companies who goes in eastern europe to pay less taxes and pay low salaries, when you have stupid politicians who earns more than 16000 euros net and they dont give a f...k about their Citizens and businesses, When they do contracts jobs of one week, one month(if you are lucky)even if you work harder they will fire you, when there is no dialogue between institutions politics and moreover Citizens then is not more a democratic and normal country. When i see immigrants coming to italy i feel very sorry for them because i know 100% lot of them will do a life even worse than the slaves immigrants thinks italy is europe is a riche country everyone can have this everyone will be rich. My friends italy is no more the richer country before 2008. italy is finished forever in 10 years in italy there will be more older people than youngers. If someone wants to go to italy should know from now that some parts only some parts of north italy can find a temporary solution what i mean? I mean that you stay 10 years or more just to do your european documents and after simply leave there are no job opportunities no more. I remember before 2008 how life was good finding work was good and easy. But today is becoming very hard even for italians. If italians goes abroad to look for a job then there is a reason they are not crazy peoples who suddenly wakes up and say today i go to germany today i go to switzerland today i go to sweden today i go to uk today i go to usa to denmark ti belgium . Have a good day people and never back down.( i left italy 2 years ago and i am more than happy today) good luck.

A worse predicament would be the aging population outstripping the work force. Lower birth rates come naturally with increased standard of living. if you artificially accelerate this process, then you run into the problem that china will have in the coming decades: a large retired population that collects pension and adds strain to the economy, and a smaller young population that cannot support that strain.

    • @mingming2325

      yoyo mama-
Did you know that China has planned to deploy 200,000 industrial robots per year starting 2020? The robots will replace labors. This is part of industrial 4.0, China calls that made in China 2025. This new industrial revolution will use Al, automation, computer and networking to replace human labor. China has begun layoff in Chinese industrial heartland. Being a communist country, the country offers generous severance package and unemployment benefits to displaced workers. India had missed the last 3 industrial revolutions. There are absolutely no sign that, under Modi gov, india is doing anything to join this new one.
In this new age industrial revolution, huge population is a liability, not an asset.

It's just that India doesn't have large areas of desert/wasteland/unarable land like other countries of similar scale. Comparison with US is meaningless.

Punjabi people are certainly better-off (financially) then the rest of India. These guys in the video are doing this back-breaking work in Italian fields not because of poverty in India but in the hope of getting a residence permit in Europe.
For example: the sikh man in the documentary says that he had to sell his family gold jewellery to get to Italy. He sold #Gold??? Really!!! That's a poor man in your opinion???
Poor people in India don't have gold. Average people do, i.e. middle-to-lower middle income group. probably he is from a lower middle class. Certainly he is no poor man. His goal is emigration. Period.

Do you see that happening? I don't think so. How will the common man fight? Whom will he fight? The judicial system is the slowest on earth - in the meanwhile, the common man fighting against corporate greed has no - monthly unemployment benefits, no government housing, no free healthcare or education. How can such a man fight?
A reasonably-good, middle-class salaried man in India pays 30% of his income in taxes and gets squat in return. All his money for 60+ years has been squandered away by politicians in caste politics - which, even the so-called castes that they politicians claim to support, don't get.
There are 3 problems that is making lives difficult in India:
      1- Overpopulation
2- Middle and lower-level government officers
      3- The Bureaucracy
Politicians don't decide policies; they only direct; the policies, rules, and systems are made by the Bureaucracy who are the functioning force behind the government system. They have vested interest in keeping the system as it is.

Working abroad and earning dollars give a social prestige..that is why people do not hesitate from doing all these work..
So European people please do not feel bad or sad for these people...they know what they are doing and have conciously opted for it....they pay a lot of money to get Visa and somehow reach distant land...

that would send farm owners into bankruptcy, having an employee costs employes exactly double as much as what they pay as salary, plus administration costs (a lot of documents need to be issued and these need to be prepared by an accountant). Italian laws are not at all forgiving with employers and black labour is sometimes the only way they can keep the business going. Otherwise it closes down and then no job for anyone...

don't think that the farmers owners are getting rich. All agriculture system in west europe is fucked up since we are importing so much products from ukrain and north africa. It's just impossible to pay the workers more.

This message is to all Indians who were fooled by Nehru & Gandhi blaming the British Raj as the enemy who has enslaved Indians and looted India. That was the biggest lies concocted first by the Congress Party, then by Nehru supported by Gandhi. Under British Raj, India was the most powerful nation on Earth. Yes, what made India powerful before 1947? Indian Rupee was at Par with the US dollar. Indians could buy $1 for Rs..2.30 pice/paisa. No Indians worked as slaves in the Arab Gulf, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait or in Saudi. When Britain kicked out by the Nehru Raj on August 15, 1947, the next day, the whole Indian economy and the Rupee collapsed. The final blow came to all Indians who were employed by British/US companies Nehru asked all White Managers and owners to get out, no compensation paid, not even one rupee, taken by force, and handed to Nehru's friends. By end of August 30, 1947, the Indian was not worth the paper it was printed. $1 was sold at Rs. 15, and within a year Rs 30 would buy $1 dollar. Those who wanted to go abroad were allowed to buy only $7. Secondly, the biggest mistake by Nehru and Gandhi was to divide part of India to give to Muslim as Pakistan on a golden plate who declared war on Indians Hindus, where over a million were slaughtered. The biggest joke by Gandhi to Indians all should spin the wheel to make Khadi threads to become an economic power. Ha ha ha ha ha. Today millions are working as slaves who send millions back to India. And guess what? Modi buys Russian S-400 Missiles for $5 billion to defend against Pakistan and China. One India a powerful country without enemies, now India has enemy self-created by Indian politicians, paid by Indians working as slaves abroad. Can you believe it? India is the only country on earth is at war, non-stop for 70 years, and going on for the next 70 years till 2147.

You need to learn history from independent source. India was powerful before Britishers came. Britishers created artificial famines in India, exploited Indians and looted worth of millions of dollars, which would be of worth trillions today. Indian historical monuments are witness to British loot, gems from the monuments were stolen away to England. Kohinoor diamond is a famous example. Indian were forced to work as slaves all over the world. Nehru and Gandhi were not honest as they are portrayed but they were far better than Britishers. India is not at any war for last 19 years. India has never been at any war longer than few months since Independence. The total period of India at war, after independence is less than any of the world wars. World war II was forced by Britishers on India. Indian soldiers were recruited by Britisher to fight their fight. Buying weapons is for defense and preparing for defense is not same as war. Even in 1980 $1 was equal to 7.89 rupees. After that 1990, India started to devalue its currency to make Indian products competitive in international market. Currency devaluation is trick used by countries to make product cheaper in foreign markets and foreign product expensive in local market. Rich people and countries always have enemies and so has India, earlier it was European countries and now Asian countries. Now instead of propagating your useless propaganda, try to ponder upon what Britishers have been doing to world for centuries. Can they be called human?

When Indians can't develop their infrastructure and improve education its population will end working as slaves for others, as is happening in this case. Countries like India and in South America need to weed out corruption and focus on making their countries better so that their citizens don't end up working for others. If Italians businesses want laborers, it should be Italians working. Same with the US, Canada, and Australia.
