    I spent so much of my life running away from negative thoughts. When I wasn't running from them, I was trying to fight them. A lot of times, they would win and I would buy into a lot of my insecurities, self doubts, and worries. I finally realized that my anxiety was coming from the fight I was putting up with my negative thoughts.
    Learning to sit with, observe, and learn from negative thoughts has honestly started to change my life. Doing shadow work is giving me space to work through limiting beliefs that were holding me back from a lot of inner peace and success. In this video, I share how I got started with shadow work, how I use it to deal with self doubts on a daily basis, and how you can to.

    Something I learned in therapy is imagining your negative thoughts like a door in your mind that you choose not to go through.
    I get this at work since I'm in an EXTREMELY toxic work environment (bullying, favoritism, but I'm getting out in less than 30 days so whatever, get my bag and finish my master's program lol). So if I decide to go into the "door" of the negative thoughts of "I'm not good enough, that's why they bully me because they know I suck and I actually do suck, blahblahblah", I know that I'm going to be in that space. But instead I can stop at "I'm not good enou- wait...I know this room, I don't want to be in this room" and then it helps me get back to the reality of "I'm being bullied, I'm doing the best I can, and I'm leaving soon."
    That was such a long explanation lol but I hope it makes sense!

      Oh my goodness I was in the same situation as you last year! My work environment was so toxic a coworker (a man) even but his hands on me! That's how serious the bullying was for me. I hope your doing well and out of that job ❤

    Shadow work for me is kinda like journaling your emotions and the things bothering you and you can also cry in front of a mirror because it helps you feel the emotion and release it❤️

    Sitting with them is harder when it’s not an overnight fix. Because you may be sitting with those emotions for a month or months even. I feel that validation here is key. Validating your emotions keeps the suffering at bay or non existent. Allow yourself to feel. Allow your self to rest if your body says rest. Societal norms on how to deal with our feelings is so f’d up and backward because we live in such a state of urgency. Healing is not linear

    Affirmations have really helped me as well a shadow work and clearing ceremonies. For the clearing ceremonies I'll write down, "I clear away all the ways that I feel unworthy, I clear away all the ways I feel..., etc." on some paper and the negative thoughts and emotions that I had been suppressing just flow out of me it's crazy. Then I take the pieces of paper outside and burn them to release them and let go. Then I'll listen to affirmation videos and meditate to them to fill my sub-conscience up with more helpful thoughts. I've been doing it for the past couple of months and it definitely helped me with that anxiety you were talking about.

      That’s so amazing, I’ve been doing something similar too! When I realized how much I felt was weighing me down I was on a beach and said ‘I let go of all that doesn’t serve me’ and literally felt like things that were holding me down were washing away. So powerful

    Acceptance and tolerance is such a huge breakthrough, it’s not easy but it’s life changing. Allowing ur thoughts to just be thoughts is such a crazy concept, but it takes the power away from thoughts and allows u to take that confidence and power back!! Needed this reminder♥️

    OMG, I give this analogy about being a mountain and your thoughts are clouds passing to my GF!! She's just getting into meditation and asks me how do I clear my mind... I had to let her know that a clear mind isn't my goal when I meditate, it's to assess my feelings and heal from within. ❤ Meditating and journaling have helped me so much with my mental... it's a necessity for me now

    I just started my spiritual journey in may, and am sharing it in my channel as well! In addition to journaling and paying attention to who and what triggers me and why, I do morning walks (more like morning saunters) . I slow down, and I focus on the Beauty around me, my favorite are watching birds fly!

    What I've learned over the past few month or so is that when I have negative thoughts, it's more than likely some sort of fear or insecurity within me. I have to stop myself and ask (in my head) "what am I so afraid of?" Is it the people around me? Is it the way I'm dressed? Whenever I get a second to sit and think, I ponder on the answers to these questions. Most of the time, it's stuff I can't even control (people's opinions/thoughts). That's mainly what I'm working on now. There's so much more I want to say, but I don't want to leave too long of a comment. Thanks for everything you do, Lynette

    I came across a quote that said "It's OKAY to feel other emotions other than happiness." I'm learning to sit with my anxiety and fears and allow them to pass by instead of avoid them and be like "no no no!!" when negative thoughts come.

    Oh this is great. I bought moldavite 2 months ago and it has FORCED me to do a lot of shadow work. And it's helped me in many other ways as well but the shadow work is a big one. Shadow work is soooooo important oh my gosh I wish more people would bring awareness to it so thank you for making a video on it!!

    I would get triggered by some pretty common things in films or books or conversations and my mind and body would be flooded with negative emotions and bad memories on repeat. I would turn the movie off, stop reading, stop the conversation but after a while, I started to tell myself not to run away. And it's gotten easier. I was triggered only today, and I continued reading and told myself; look the thought appeared, you felt it, but the world didn't end. Everything is exactly as it was before you were triggered. You are exactly in the same place, your world hasn't actually imploded. It's OK thay you were reminded of this shitty thing, but it's gone now and you can come back to where you were. The journey has many ups and downs! Some days you can fight it, others you can't. But you keep going for those days when you can keep it together.

    I tried journaling,but I’ve never stayed consistent with it. How can stay consistent with it when I only right when I have strong feeling toward an event or how I’m feeling?

    Can you please make a video regarding getting emails from brands looking to partner or collab with you & how you choose who to work with. I get emails from brands for collaborations but I get afraid that they’re scammers. How can you tell who’s legit? Please help 🙃💕

      I can go into detail in another video but I recently started doing guided meditations and this one called blessing of the energy centers. I also just do silent meditation with calming music!
