Thanks for the feedback. Part of it was a bit of nerves during the tournament. Like you said I was too focused on trying to read the serve. Good tip to always assume topspin unless it's obvious underspin. I'll work on my serves, loop technique and correcting the finger habit until I'm better than Timo Boll😉
Good luck!! You got this
really really great analysis of the technique. Even much of it is pretty basic it is still very important. Keep the videos coming
I appreciate it!
This is really, really helpful...thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed!!
@@Looeelooee I sent you two videos, but I may need to replace them tomorrow...otherwise you may die laughing. 😝
@Uncle-Basil hey I think you may have sent me an email - i can’t see the videos right now I think they’re set to private. In the sharing settings you probably need to update it so anyone with link can view or you can also upload it to TH-cam and mark it unlisted instead of public and just attach that link instead
@@Looeelooee oh I see...I will update it now...thanks.
@@Uncle-Basil all good looks like I can see them now. I've got a couple folks ahead of you but will definitely get to yours as soon as I can
Great channel. Will keep coming back.
I appreciate it!
I could recommend practising backhand serves. As a leftie, I have great success with backhand serves, because you can easily change the rotation and placement (easier than with the forehand), and if you serve against right handed players with under-sidespin and you target their backhand, unless they are really really good players, they will push and because of the spin it will mostly go to your forehand, giving you a good 3rd ball atack. As Looeelooee said, serve and 3rd ball attack is so very important, and some people don't realise that. If you do a serve without purpose or quality, you don't know where the opponent is going to place the return, or what kind of return is going to come from them, leaving you guessing and almost defending. Serving is the only time in the game where you are in complete control of the ball, and it's very important to take advantage of that. You need to think about what your best shots are, and serve in a way that you will likely get to do your good shots.
