    Nice and helpful video. As I am a teacher and work with students I am interested in psychology deeply. Also when my psychologist said that all our behaviors are controlled by our brain.Functions of brain reflects in our behaviors I started to read books about brain and watching videos like yours. Would like to study abroad in bachelor degree in psychology ,but as I am 32 it seems too late for studying in European universities. Anyway I take courses in psychology and it is satisfying for now! Dear Chhavi, thank you very much for your words. To become a neuropsychologist you will need a bachelor degree and a master in science degree. Then you need to register yourself in your psychologist professional order in your country to have a valid license. However, I think that this may vary from country to country. I hope you find this useful.

    You’re video was very helpful! I am a student in Canada and I was in Nursing school previously and have switched to ABA study’s, but i ultimately want to study the brain. Specifically i want to study/research if concussions can cause/worsen specific symptoms of Depression, anxiety and other major psychological disorders. So im just wondering if neuropsychology is the field that researches this or is this research done more by neuroscientists?

    • @MindBrainTalks
      @MindBrainTalks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dear Kailey Persons, thank you for your question. Yes, neuroscientists and neuropsychologists study the brain. However, there are minor differences between them. Neuropsychologists tend to use neurocognitive and behavioral tasks to explore normal and abnormal brain processes, which is called neuropsychological assessment. Neuroscientists tend to use other methods, such as fMRI, MEG or even EEG. So it will depend on how you want to explore the impacts of the concussion on emotional disturbances. I helped you?

  • @LuxPsy
    @LuxPsy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    I'm an experimental psychologist and I study the normal development of sensory perception in a university research institute (which is named "department of neuropsychology", no less). But I feel hesitant to call myself a neuropsychologist because neuropsychology focuses on injuries or illnesses of the brain, whereas I only study normal brain functions. In your professional opinion, can I brand myself as a neuropsychologist?

    • @MindBrainTalks
      @MindBrainTalks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Dear Lux, thank you for your question, which is a tricky one. Neuropsychologists are concerned with the study of the relationships between brain, cognition and behavior as a hole. So, if you study only one domain, such as, perception or memory the more accurate denomonation may be cognitive psychologist. However, this distinction is a little bit arbitrary. Nonetheless, to be a neuropsychologist and to perform neuropsychologal assessment and rehabilitation, you must have a masters degree in neuropsychology.

    • @LuxPsy
      @LuxPsy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MindBrainTalks Thank you for your reply. I have a PhD in psychology from the department of psychology & neuroscience. I study sensory perception in the healthy brain and its neurological underpinnings. “Cognitive psychologist” is indeed a more accurate description of what I do, but I was wondering if “neuropsychologist” isn’t too far off either

    Is it delusional or honest that a person is asking Jesus Christ for answer's and receives a way to be whipped by Jesus one year one time littelry and then yrs pass and the same holy God is portrayed to be nice and yet isn't because Jesus is external of a man And when arrives to hurt the human Jesus says its from not Jesus obeying the man but again the man is to have gotten. Away from God and relured back to God. In 10yrs of my life that is really the sworn truth from day 1 of duped Into telling on. Whom killed me and in return God made sense that i somehow would be okay with it and had attacked me including knowing to say folks are falsely healed and that's from anyone knowing their opinion is not anyone else's to say if they are healed and or needed medical help.... I know this for my fact.
