Very interesting. This is an agency voice-over demo. Most heard here were solely voice-over talents with the exception of a few actors who did both. What jumps out most is how most of them essentially sound the same. The commercial sound at that time demanded a non-ethnic 45 to 50 year old sounding male. The over the top "announcer" voice was still in style.
How times have changed. Many of these guys would have a very difficult time getting hired today to do national spots and every voice heard here became very wealthy back in the day and worked constantly.

Cheers Edward! Yes many of these Voice-Over Demos and Various Radio Commercials are historic artifacts of a golden era. The over the top announcer voice seems more natural and engaging more than today's presentations. Our Staff at Arkteknologies archives takes special care to restore and digitize these cassette tapes when we find them. It seems that these guys had so much talent and entertaining value in their craft in those days.

The "announcer" voice is still in style. True, everybody and his brother is doing voiceover work now, but that doesn't mean announcers or narrators (emphasis on both) can't work.

Just forget about ethnicities. Everybody has their own unique style.
