Winning is, when you are able to create constant result's with a steadily nice equity curve. Meaning: If your mindset is prepared for discretion trading style, you need to cut losses for a longer distance view.

It is about having a plan and being able to follow it.
It is about feeling proud even when a SL is triggered, if all rules were met and the trade was executed according to the plan

I genuinely hope every single person that watches this finds some sort of value. One thing I want to point out so i don’t mislead any trader is that during the video I mention that at times I take losses purposely so I can become better at losing. I tried this once or twice at the time but it was NOT affective because being good at losing depends on how you respond to an uncertain outcome which you cannot control.
To become good at losing you must embrace uncertainty, you must accept and sit with the loss without trying to escape the uncomfortable feeling. Another way is to think opposite of the 95% failing traders by ‘expecting to be wrong’ when placing a trade until the market proves you right. Because traders enter a trade wanting the market to do something otherwise they wouldn’t feel hurt if they truly believed anything can happen.

@Younis Ward Thank you so much for the Honesty Brother, there's so much value on this Conversation, I literally (downloaded it) am repeating it right, I have watched Tom sometimes hard to understand but you seem to have really got him and yourself personally you have mastered yourself and thank you for speaking about loosing so genuinely and openly and it's benefits either than most guys who speak like they where born consistently profitable, speaking to you now, I didn't even notice my account is blown but tell you what through the data I have collected about my edge pair etc it's priceless, you're right once you master loosing constructively it's when you can start building your way to winning consistently, you can not know winning without knowing loosing, once you master the balancing scale you can pick you winners from your losers. I get it now. thank you, I wish there are more genuine guys coming on, online we need more truth about the true nature of the game.

If you stick to your risk management, it's mathematically impossible to blow an account with a 2:1 RR ratio. Yet I blew 90% of it because of revenge trading with foul risk management. I reckon this is the hell every trader has to go through. Listening to these podcasts and knowing that I'm not alone helps me a lot with my psychology. Thanks mates.

For those needing more resources on managing your inner world and psychology, Power of Now is a great start. To follow up, "The Untethered Soul" by Michael Singer is extremely powerful. Then finish up with "Letting Go" by David Hawkind. It's not about the quantity of books or education but the quality and depth of your studies.
Being a fiend for knowledge, I've over consumed my whole life but found it to be an excuse to put in the hard work. After 3 years, I learned so much by sticking to a style and putting in the hours to backtest over and over. Same applies to readings, I stopped trying to hit "1 book a week" and focused on reading and analyzing the same book over and over again.
Life is a psychological journey. A relationship between your inner world and the outer. Fix your inner first then the outer will be a piece of cake. Y'all got this 👍

I'm currently half way through my FTMO challenge, I took a break from trading after becoming a dad.
Over the past 3 weeks, I have been mass-consuming your episodes, and this has to be (to me) one of, if not, the best episode.
That voice in our head that pushes us to take the stupid trade is such an inner battle...
My biggest challenge was to stop trading after London. I'm very consistent in London, but I can't trade the NY session... That's where I give it all back.
So now, I shut the chart down...
Something else that helps, is having an observer password for my phone and having a complex password for my desktop so I can view the trade on my phone but not trade from the phone. Having the complex password stops the temptation of logging in on the phone.

Firstly & most importantly, identify what type of trading is suitable to your personality. Day, Swing or Position Trading. Their are quizzes availabe online to help you identify the type of trader you are internally/emotionally/psychologically. Then dig deep and stay aligned to the type of trader you are meant to be. Steering away from these core values will lead to failure & stress. Trading is 98% (time) finding, planning, prepping & testing the trade. Execution & monitoring is 2% (time) leading to success. Hence why 2% of traders (or anyone) succeed beyone measure. As the saying goes: Plan to fail or Fail to plan. Wonderful podcasts. Well done. Thank you for putting the time in to create these videos. Alot of wisdom, now I get the a perspective of what psychology in forex really means, other people just say it or take it as a normal word, but yeah Younis just showed the reason why they say forex brings out the person you are and totally shows how one can relate the financial life to reality and things going on around you.
