When playing against Genex you should Ash the first monster they summon with Repair Genex Controller's effect, then hope they don't already have Birdman.
Fun fact: Repair Genex Controller is normal summoning those monsters, not special summoning. So you won't deck out from Maxx C but like you saw they can get to all the Synchros they need. Also I think you'd of won on time limit if you stayed.
I personally cut handtraps to play more techs like Ancient Gear Dragon, Ancient Gear Explosive, and Clockwork Night. Dragon is easy to search and summon since there's so many ways to special and normal summon multiple of your Ancient Gears, Explosive very often gives me lethal where I would've otherwised missed it (especially against decks with good recursion), and Clockwork is essentially a mini floodgate that makes lethal way easier. I also play 1 frame just to search out Advance or Duel in case I have a hand that can't get to both somehow. It can be searched with Box too, which is nice. Anaconda has not been very kind to me. Most of the time I would rather keep all my machines on the field for easier lethal, as Anaconda usually gets negated since it's not protected by Fortress or Duel. It's already so easy to fusion summon 2 or 3 times that I would rather not have a dead 500 attack body on the field. Instead, Goddess has been giving me the perfect out for unaffected towers when I need it. It's easy to go wide in the deck now, and with Ancient Gear Fusion letting you use monsters from the deck as material, I've very often gotten her and Chaos Giant out at the same time, which is basically a death sentence for the opponent. Just my thoughts though!

Add 1 Explosive, 1 Dragon, 1 Clockwork, 1 Frame, and I play an extra Ancient Gear Fusion. Oh, and Tanker just so I'm not using my only copy for the fusion spell. Urgent Schedule at 2 is just so it's rarer for me to draw into 2 of them. Many players will set up some backrow and nothing else when you choose to go second, so having multiple copies of a dead card really sucks. If you need to make room for other personal techs, cut Explosive and/or the extra Tanker. In my experience, Fortress at 2 is also fine since it's so easy to search out, but I wouldn't recommend it. I also play 2 Chaos Giant and 1 of each of the other AG bosses out of personal preference. I'm at work so no pics, sorry.

The rest of the combo is basically irrelevant unless they are playing Horus or something to try to protect the link 1. Just negate/stop link 1s effect to summon from hand when a genex monster is added to the hand and the deck usually shits the bed. You can also stop whatever monster that lets them add to the hand when the link is on the field as well. Local Genex hater out.
I just wanted to comment and say that I actually really enjoy these 1 hour playtests. I think you're a great commentator but I initially subscribed to see YOU play and hear your live thoughts as you're playing so it's pretty cool to see you back and playing on the channel.

I love the live duels even when your facing some bullshit 30 summon ftk deck it feels good knowing I’m not the only ones facing that garbage with an ok or decent deck

I mean it’s totally possible, I’ve dueled myself using two different master duel accounts and it was interesting. Now to be fair I was in a custom room with the max time limit but there were still times where I almost lost due to inactivity because one of my accounts wanted to activate a card

Master Rule 6 idea: you shouldn't be able to discard from someone's hand going first, also no burn FTKs. Direct attacks were a no no going first but apparently those 2 are okay? Makes no sense to me, seeing duels like your genex one there.
I have a unpopular opinion. In game 2 when you talking about banning hand traps such as Ash & Maxx, I disagree. I disagree because many decks has the ability ability to leave turn 2 players unable to play the game. I will admit that they are a pain to deal with, however in the current format if you don't have a strong enough hand trap going up against 6 or 7 etc negates before you even draw, how do you play? I know you mentioned having a new hand trap as a replacement, but with the current state of yugioh, it won't make it though. As you are more knowledgeable about this than I am, I might sound ignorant to you. Yet and still I feel like the detourance is needed.
People like : "Ohh i hate duel links" and then proceed to hate Master Duel more because of the 10 minutes turn 1. i mean duel links is the way to avoid it, i like playing duel links in my 3-5 minutes time.
Great video as always. Only thing I want to correct is that the lists that don't run Duel don't struggle to kill on 1 or 2 monsters. 1 can be trickyish if you have a bad hand but 2 definitely not. If that's worth running 2 bricks is up to each player to choose. Even in the Vaalmonica game you easily had lethal over the 1 monster without Duel.

even in yugioh gx, i always fear this archetype. it has a very high atk boss monsters and it's almost impossible to block due to it's effect...
They won't ban Maxx "C" yet since it's in the Blue-Eyes structure deck

People will just leave when they know they are lost. That's how yugioh is now, so them scooping is just how yugioh is. It's never fun to lose.

You can play this deck on first turn with one card combos that make 6 or 7 or even 8 interruptions
