Thank you Fr. Mark - I needed to hear this - my husband has Alzheimer’s and I hate this disease - but apparently all my trials with this illness appear to be my “Gold”. - thanks for the inspiration to keep digging - Have a blessed day, a continued joyful advent and a Very Merry Christmas!
I love this “keep digging” to the depths of the soul to keep it clean and ready! I feel like I do more digging at this time of year, and at other times, too, but like your story about the digger, I’m reminded that I need to dig down faithfully, patiently, and consistently to seek the Kingdom of God! Thank you, Father Mark-you always inspire!Viva Cristo Rey!
I used to very much fear death and feel so awful when others passed. But at some point I realized the point of life, is not life itself. Life is a gift, but it is not the prize.
Excellent. Thank you Fr. Mark. To all of my brothers and sisters, know that I’m praying for all of your intentions this Christmas season. God bless and Christ’s Peace be with you all.
Amen!!!🔥🔥🔥 May God bless you, Father Mark, enormously!!! In the name of Jesus Christ Our Lord and through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary!!!
"What's my point?" You give me a good laugh every time you say that, Father - especially when I contemplate how it is your fervor/enthusiasm that's the cause. May you always let your fire burn brightly!

(St. Louis de Monfort) 🌊🌺"When a person is faithful to his or her times of prayer, day after day, week after week, it’s like someone with a well in the garden that’s choked with rubbish-branches, leaves, stones, mud-but underneath is water, clean and pure. What comes up at the start is the mud and dirt: our wretchedness, worries, fears, guilt, self-blame-the things we normally avoid. Plenty of people run away from themselves. Thank you Fr. Mark I also needed to hear this not having a good day. Had surgery 12/9 and I was going to daily mass and now feeling like I am slipping in my spiritual life. Can’t get out the door to daily mass. It’s so easy to fall behind. JESUS I TRUST IN YOU AND LOVE YOU PLEASE HELP ME!🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🔔
❤️🔥Jesus we trust in You!❤️🔥 God bless you. Please know that our Lord God is also most merciful. You are not slipping away, just because your health is preventing you from keeping up with your previous pace. Both my husband and I had "long-term Covid" last summer, and I'd rather not say how much time we missed from attending holy Mass. I kept my daily prayer routine as much as I could, apologizing to God every step of the way for not doing as much as I normally do. Thank God being a Christian is as much about "being" as well as "doing". (learned this from the best confessor ever :). So please be kind and gentle with yourself. And remember, God loves you with a steadfast, everlasting love. Shalom 🕊️❤️🔥✝️🙏
Praying that you heal quickly and Christ pulls you back unto prayer with him, either at mass or at home. I know how easy it is to get lost post surgery. May Gods grace shine upon you and hold you.
You see Father? Your sermons arouse so much enthusiasm in peoples hearts that they write long and meaningful comments that I enjoy reading. God bless you Father!!! 😇
Thank you Fr Mark, thank you for the reminder that we need to do our best in all our duties in life. If we don’t do our best in the little things how can Our Heavenly Father trust us in the bigger things. There is job satisfaction in even cleaning our home, there is a great Joy in saying our own Yes to what Our Heavenly Father asks of us, he is never outdone in his Loving generosity. Praise God !!!
Wow! Thank you Fr. Mark, for this amazing and inspiring homily. When you mentioned John chapter 7, I was reminded of Isaiah 41 when the Lord says he will open rivers on the bare heights and fountains in the midst of the valleys. He will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. This has given me much food for thought, and the power of Hod within me, thank you! God bless.🙏🏻🕊

Funny how being silent and listening is more important than be vocal to hear Our Lord. 2025… let’s listen and pray for discernment. God bless.
