This set is fantastic. It has pride of place on my shelf. Well, I say shelf, I mean on top of my printer lol. I got the original release as Skyfall wasn't out yet. It sucks though that the Skyfall disc art was totally different to the box set disc art, though you could send off for a matching one which I never bothered with.
I guess Im asking randomly but does someone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost my login password. I would love any assistance you can offer me

I got this set the March and a Bday Present i love it some of the movies look better then others but movies like Dr Who and Gold Finger looks amazing so do other movies Goldeneye sadly not that much
Nice set! I've been slacking on picking this up, mainly because I already invested in the original non-chronological, craptastically packaged Blu-ray sets. So between those three "book style" sets, the Best Buy exclusive set from 2009 and all of the other missing films I later picked up individually, my 007 Blu-ray collection is fairly comprehensive but looks like ass on a shelf. Thanks for sharing. This may convince to me to blow more money on Bond discs!
Riddler95 I almost picked up those Ultimate Edition sets too, but already owned the late 90s/early 00s Special Edition boxes and figured I'd just wait for the eventual Blu-rays, assuming Sony won the format war. Of course that was back when I was trying to be sensible about my 007 video collection. Now I'm actively hunting down all the laserdisc releases, so who knows where this rabbit hole will lead? :-D
Culturedog These are all the fully restored masters too. They look and sound absolutely stunning. As good as they're ever likely to look and sound. I think the 2009 individual releases were the older restorations they used for the DVD's. They went back and redid them all for this set I believe.
Riddler95 I also hadn't heard of the Bond 50 set featuring any new masters for the double-dipped titles. I just watched The Spy Who Loved Me recently on Blu-ray and it did indeed look fantastic! Goldeneye looks okay on Blu-ray, but I was oddly far more impressed with the Japanese laserdisc I recently picked up. I've got all three of those CAV Criterion LD releases - great stuff!

I did listen through to the commentaries and kept expecting someone to call Broccoli a d-bag or something, but it's pretty mild stuff. Though I guess EON still didn't care for some of the comments like Riddler95 mentioned and demanded they be pulled. Really interesting tracks though!
Somewhere in the Blu- Rays the was \ is the Exotic Locations feature as well. I not have the box set like most. I got them in the own Blu ray cases. As I was really close to finishing the series. Besides I can separate them. By Classic Bond the first 40 years \ 20 films. And the Soft reboot of sorts. in 2006 after the Jason Bourne Series came out in 2002. I Find it some what funny they did not take advantage of the year 2007. How cool would it have been to have a Bond film in 007. As 2008's QOS was basically Casino Royale part 2. Oh well.
Bond 50 is a beautiful set and I had thought about buying it during it's first run, but ultimately decided against it as I do not have a great way to display it properly and more importantly, you cannot properly organize it with the later releases (Spectre). As a general rule, I will usually avoid boxsets if they are not housed in a standard looking Blu case.
Can't believe you've never seen On Her Majesty's Secret Service. It's one of the best, certainly 10x better than the first of the franchises genuine low points that came directly after it and certainly any of the 90's movies or the sillier/duller Roger Moore offerings. It's very well directed and appears to be a conscious step back to the more serious first two movies yet has plenty of quality action scenes and arguably the franchises best score (certainly a fan favourite) The only thing that lets it down is the fact that some of George Lazenby's dialogue was obviously over dubbed in post production by a different actor (who it has to be said does a good job re lip sync) I think you'll enjoy it even if Lazenby is perhaps the least memorable Bond.

Interesting, my pre-Skyfall set has movies up to A View To A Kill on the first book of the set. So that's 2 more than on this edition. Looking forward to the second part!

This is a Closer Look at the packaging, contents and special features. This is a regular series I do on my channel. Don't like 'em, don't watch 'em, because I ain't changing 'em!
Watching OHMSS is like watching the first two Austin Powers movies, but minus the humour. The plot involving hypnotised women was beyond stupid, Blofeld not recognising Bond, or his name was a joke. I'm sure you'd remember the man if not his name who was responsible for destroying your extremely expensive volcano lair. The snow scene was the only thing that was good in the film, the rest was unmemorable.
Great closer look video! I've been trying to make bluray reviews, and I hope you can maybe check them out, and maybe give any feedback. But anyways, enough self promoting 😄, great vid!

The Spy who loved me is my favorite Bond film. It has possibly the best Bond villain, Bond girls and Bond car IMO.
