- Tripods are extremely important and I can totally see them being neglected early at launch. The locker system is something a lot of people don't know so I wanted to introduce it to you guys EARLY seeing as it can save you a LOT of resources and money.

This is the kind of videos we're starting to need the closer we get to the release, awesome Kanon! Next, would it be possible to have a video on what tripods each class needs more or less? In order to not dismantle/sell for too cheap at the auction house.
I want that to, but until then I think one should scan those websites that already exist because I think they do give you a good blue about this. But I haven't gotten that far yet myself.
i love Kanon dropping all these deep guides about gearing. glad they focus more on "what to look for" more than "what do do". engaging with the concepts is more helpful for me than just being told what to put on

you make the best vids about these things. tons of other content creators go over things i've heard everywhere or already knew, yours have been all good things that i haven't heard anywhere else
So for example: if I really want certain tripod on my pants I just need to find some random pants with this tripod, store their tripods into locker, then I can make "infinite" number of pants with that tripod to try my chance with 5% rolls? UI suggests that you can only move tripods between same Tiers (T3 in this example), are there any other restrictions?

Only T3 items have tripod effects, so you can just disregard this system until you reach Papunika. Saving in library system has one downside, it overwrites all 3 tripod effects, so if you have Y tripod effect with lvl 4 on a glove and you have a glove with X tripod with 4 lvl and you use a trick mentioned in a video you will just replace Y with X + 2 trash tripod, so only use this trick if you get Y tripod effect with lvl 3 + 2 trash tripods and you found an item with Y tripod effect lvl4 + 2 trash tripod, This way you can guarantee and upgrade of a single tripod effect. Also yes, tripods saved in a library can be used infinite amount of times, but it's not 5% chance to replace, if you use library system it's 100% chance of success. 5% is a chance if you are manually replacing 1 tripod from another gear.
The lower chance is only for the "one at a time tripod exchange" and it can help to build items with x3 perfect tripods even though it might be quite expensive where as the other "three at a time tripod exchange" has 100% but it comes with the fact that it might have one or two useless tripods since the x3 tripods can be moved only together meaning that it is not possible to pick and store only one out of three tripods into the locker since those can be saved only together. And there is another thing that was not said in this video.. items can be usually traded three times after acquiring them so it is possible to buy items with perfect tripods from the auction house to save the tripods to the locker then sell the items back.
This was super helpful! Thanks. I was dreading the tripod system as a gear treadmill that I had to reset every raid, but it's actually another permanent account upgrade system in disguise, since I can always just move things off old gear and onto new once I have good enough upgrades. It also means that resources I spend on tripods aren't just churned and wasted at the beginning of every new raid tier because I'm actually building these templates that last forever. This one feature alone has raised my excitement about the game by like 100x.

I have a question though.
If I happen to have a very good piece of gear, and I save it, I can put it on as many items as I want, right ? So can I sell them then ? Or can I give them to a friend so he saves it on an alt that has the same class and then he gives it back to me ?

Would that mean (this might be a bit complicated) i could save a set to library for one skill i want to transfer to my main gear. Then i could transfer that set to a new pair of gloves (for example) indefinitely until i manage to get that 5% chance of getting it on my main gear? Sorry if this is confusing

Question: seems like with the locker you can turn gear with tripods you don't want into multiple duplicates of gear with tripods you do want and just burn through those to upgrade a tripod to a higher level? So that when you are upgrading the normal way you will never lose the tripod you want even when it fails?

So if ur pants have 2 lvl 4 tripods that u want u could save that to transfer to ur main pants, then you find any item that has a 3rd lvl 4 tripod that u want, make infinite spares (since it stays in library) and do the 5% chance to transfer for 3 perfect tripods?

so the rundown I'm getting is you can normally rng tripods an infinite amount of times to get the one you want on your gear or you could ideally if you find the gear that has multiple tripods you want you can save it to the storage box and get a basically free upgrade to your actual gear and you could also normal rng that the last tripod for a perfect set right?? also if you save the tripods in the storage box where does the gear go is it just the tripods or is it both or is the gear gone?? and is there anything else i need to know??

So you buy a piece with the bis tripod, save it to the locker, then keep applying the locker save to gear you loot until you get a successful transfer? Rinse repeat until you’re full bis and then save that build.
Should i put tripod alarm on just the bis or should i put alarms on all the ones i use?

One thing I think you didnt mention is that, if im not wrong, you wanna save your tripods in the locker before replacing a piece of gear, so for the new one you just worry about the stats and so and you give it your old hard to get tripods

Can you find a piece with a tripod you want, save it in your locker, then buy random gear and apply the tripod you just saved to it, to then use it to try to push that tripod onto an existing armor piece?

So if I save a set of tripods like on pants does it consume the gear I save or if I dismantle the pants I saved from do I lose the saved tripods, I ask because if it has 3 bonuses that id like one on another piece of gear could I save to locker then use pants to upgrade 1 of the bonuses to another gear piece then still transfer from locker to say... new pants
if i save tripods that i am looking for on my sorceress - but im logged in on another character, will it also track the ones im looking for on my sorc?
Just asking lets say I have equipment with tripod A lv 4 B lv 4 C lv 2, and I found another equipment with C lvl 4.
Cant I put the item with C lvl 4 into the locker, apply it on as many equipment I need to try to upgrade my first equipment tripod C to lvl 4?
All I need is silver for the multiple tries and any equipment, so its basically confirmed for me to get A,B,C lvl 4

So once you lets say get the perfect piece and you are about to replace it, you can try to put it into the locker so you don't have to regrind the correct ones each time you get a new piece?

So If I have equpped an item 2 good ones and 1 bad one I have to find an item with a good one that will replace the bad one but if I find an item with 3 good ones I can just save it to storage box/locker and transfer all 3 to my equipped item?
A little confused just want to make sure I understand. If I want to upgrade a tripod from a pair of pants that dropped, say it has level 4 of a skill, and mine are level 3 but the other 2 skills on my pants I want to keep, I could locker the pants that have level 4 and move the level 4 over to other randoms pants that drop to keep attempting to move the level 4 over to my BiS pants?

Can you use the same piece of gear and swap 3 tripods for Raid, then save ´em and swap for other 3 for Chaos Dung, and repeat not losing any of them? or do they overlap when swapping?

By the way, so you backup lets say the perfect 3 tripods in your locker, will you be able to just apply all 3 to any items and just sell it in AH or it becomes untradable?
if I can store it in the library... let's say I get a new type of armor which is better but doesn't have the levls of tripods I have currently... can I go to the action house look for the same tripods lvl I currently have( or better) and stored them and then instantly apply them to the new type of armor?
