Nice description of the feelings you have when racing Bathurst. Especially the "oh, shit!" moment. The many, many times I've flown thru that chicane until I've learned the braking point... While it's not my "the best track ever made", it's definitely one of the most interesting out there. It's just our luck we have many sims with many track to choose from - and so many excellent mods...
WromWrom to be honest, it's half true in that it's my favourite track on the planet, and half attempting to trigger the Nordschleife snobs 😆 My favour track to race these v8s is Road Atlanta though.
To add a personal touch if you look over the wall outside of the first part of the cutting , someone has there own golf green down the side of the hill
Thanks for the video mate, I too love this track but always end up binning it coming down the hill after 20 laps or so, so I need to practice alot more!
This track has a long history way before supercars came to play, probably back to the 1930s. The walls were wooden and a 100 mph average was achieved by open-wheelers back in the 1960s. It also has a long history of killing drivers and riders. Yes, bike racing was all the go here until the early 00s when they finally realised that they couldn't make it safe enough for bikes.
Apologies for the late reply. But, to add to that, Hell corner got its name due to a tree stump that was present on the apex of the corner; which was the bane of every motorcycle rider's life whenever they got towards T1.
Great tutorial, exactly what I need to prepare for my first league in rf2. Just one noob question: how did you get that interior mirror? What is that? Thx & cheers from Belgium
Hei Aidan, you may want to check my Assetto Corsa Modtest on my channel, as we both share love and respect for this track. It's called "Not one clean round!" for a reason...
There's only one Bathurst to my knowledge, but the free cam: open assetto_corsa.ini and put 1 for allow free camera in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg Press F7 and use the arrow keys and mouse to move around.
Are you from the UK, because the FA Cup is the biggest event in English football, bigger than all the EPL matches put together; even their media, oversea fans and literally everybody in the UK thinks so
Also speaking of Bathurst, which version do you recommend, the official Steam Workshop 2014 version or the internet 2016 version downloads.xtremefactor.es/en/noticias/rfactor-2/2013-rfactor-2-bathurst-2016-1-0.html
Got a chance to drive bathurst in my shitty Holden Cruze a few months ago - looks just as spectacular going 60km/h as it does in race cam. PS - they added the "chase" after a death in 1986 th-cam.com/video/_-BV-Q3vFZU/w-d-xo.html

PDS SIGNS not a problem; hope it had some use!
Definitely more of these!

Should watch Glenn Seton's on-board drive on the top of the Mountain in the wet during the 1987 Bathurst 1000. Sweet bit of hair-raising driving...
Man ok ok I give up I subscribed already lol love ur work keep it coming
Funny to think Mount Panorama is a street circuit!
Hells corner is literally hell for me lol other than the 4x dipper they are my 2 kryptonites

Press the 3 key and it'll cycle through the interior mirrors.
@@AidanMillward Thanks so much!! Just couldn't figure it out. Now I've seen the other useful display controls as well. Thanks again and keep it up!

So the main commentator there, Greg has a podcast called rustys garage. That may interest you
I’ve been listening to it since the first episode.
What version of the track are you using?
How did you get to go around the track at the beginning without the car (the flyover)?

You have hard on the front and soft on the rears? Also that hard tyre doesn’t look legit like you wrote over it or something?
stealthlancer1 nope.
Do you have a tuning video for the Super V8 maybe for Assetto Corsa and RFactor 2
My setup for rF2 is in the hotlap at the end in the v8 supercar. Don't have one for AC because of the mod being updated.
When Dick Johnson crashed the car in the top ten shootout on the exit of forest elbow it happened in 1983
They are driveways to get the houses for the people that live on the mountain
22:50. Car number 69. 😂

Yeah, I'm British. Watch the Cup Final every year even if Walsall get knocked out in the first round every year!

They're both the same. The 2016 one just has the real advertising boards.
For 100% concentration try Knockhill !
honeychurchgipsy6 already have. It’s a stroll in the park 😆

Someone finish - Aussie Aussie Aussie....
Can never get a good tune in AC. Forza 7 isn't to bad. I have the most fun in PC2. I can rip around Bathurst, just always feels on point.
AC Version isn't particularly good.
Very good, but! the background music is annoying/distracting when your talking.
i like dank memes
I don't recall adding any to this video. The previous one, however...
