This is one of my favorite concepts by far. K20, RWD, Turbo, carbon fiber everything. That would be my daily driver forever. Fully build an extra K20 when the stock one blew. 650hp is a safe number for a built K20 for longevity.

“Double clutching” when you shift gears is when you push the clutch in, pull the shift lever into neutral, let the clutch out, push it back in, and shift into the next gear. You do that in big semi trucks with unsynchronized transmissions. Why would you do that with a synchronized transmission in a drag race?
Awesome build Throttl crew! Most of those RX7’s in the picture looks way nicer than tj’s rx7. Still though, can’t beat a beautiful stock body rx7 with a small drop and rims. To me, an FD doesn’t need any body mods just needs a nice drop and rims and the car is beautiful!

For modding the engine yes, as far as getting rid of the rats nest etc...but as for the body, that there is subjective and All I can say mods are not always better on all cars. Depends on the factor of what your doing on the motor. Don’t get me wrong I used to like body kits on cars during 80’s-90’s era and did one on my 87’ Mazda 626. 10-30 years from now those body kits are just that a fad and the stock body will still remain beautiful while most of those body kits will look funny except the veilside, but even that I still prefer the stock rx7 body like many other Mazda rx7 purists. I kept my 94’ fd body stock, 1 inch lowered with bbs rims and I still get a lot of attention and all the people I ran into were happy that I kept it stock and did minimal to the engine as many that had a fd regret modding it. Like I said, to each their own.
I’m no civic hatch guy but this build would be phenomenal to rip around town and on the track! Great work guys 🔥🔥 oh and also, post the official numbers please! Excited to see what it made.
finally completed what an amazing build, glad you guys started around 300-400hp still have room to push out more power later on. I'm putting my money on the civic to beat the eclipse. I'm a 2nd Gen eclipse fan but that civic is purpose built to destroy.

That hatchback would run great if you guys adjust the suspension so it grips better and check the weight bias or else you’ll never have any grip as well I got the same EK Hatch back but I’m still front wheel drive on an H 22 a
The best rear wheel conversion I have seen thus far; love it. It looks like you are going to have an issue with the rearend acting a little squirrelly when launching.
you need to do some street testing and get a proper 2step map setup for the car . the car needs to leave under boost because at this point your treating the car as if its n/a . this vs that is on a street surface so if you want to be competitive thats the type of surface you should have the car on from now on . the hondas on this vs that always do poorly because there never setup for the surface . i would love to see mickey be the 1st to represent the honda fam with a W .
