I work for a power company and we have started using the vac trucks up in Eastern WA and North Idaho almost daily for setting power poles and sucking dirt around underground transformers. Way way easier

With the varrious options on each truck, what does a truck cost and cost to operate? Looks like an expensive business. Keep up the good work. A always wondered how these trucks operated.

Very interesting stuff here. Showing your equipment and that you know how to use it and aren’t afraid to get dirty is also a good way to shut up the haters out there that say daddy hands you everything. Keep up the good work.

I worked with the City for 10 years we had a Jitter head that had nozzles shooting water forward and spins that would cut Roots out of the sewer pipes. It's not that hard of a job but it does take time to do it right and it is a dirty job.... As the old saying is, it smells like money.....lol

Years ago company I worked for had/has a vacon truck. I remember having to go to a sewage treatment plant and running the hose through a drain that was clogged between 2 skimmer ponds. I was a plumber for 23 yrs. and that was one of the worst days for me. All the other days were a tie

Did my first hose reel bearing today. It is a process but a great learning experience. We have Western stars with Vactor Systems. Mack’s with Vactor systems and kenworth With Vactor systems. I work for San Antonio Water Systems. These vehicles take so much maintenance.
We do combo checks every single morning. We have 8 combos, 2 pressure cleaner trucks and 1 track system Vactor. That’s just at the center I’m at. We have a total of 26 combos and 8 pressure cleaner trucks.

Pretty good video. I drive a 2100i jetter for the city I live in NC people are always amazed at what these trucks can do. Love your videos keep up the hard work I stopped racing in 2001 ran 540 blown alcohol in outlaw races and quick 8 shootouts . I miss it but it does get expensive.

I used to work for MPW(mobile power wash) and we also had vac trucks they are no joke....i knew a guy who got his arm sucked up in the 8 inch boom.....8 surgeries later and he still isnt right. The water pressure we used were 10k, 20k and 40k psi

I love the Vactor but I’m so happy my Vac-con only takes turning on the hydrostatic to engage work mode. No PTO but RNL just pull lever and get to pumpin’. But yes Vactor is better.

Would one of these trucks work in cleaning under grates of a bagasse boiler. Think more or less small gravel with ash and dirt. would have to put corrugated hoses on the end of that line, about 40-60 feet away from truck but it would Vacuum across flat ground not down 40 foot in a hole

lol... hey man that has happened to me I used to run 2,500 R.P.M. but we dropped it to 2,000 R.P.M. because the water would start to blow back into the house and it does matter how shallow your pipe is and how much fall your pipe has if it don't have much fall and if it's real shallow it will back up in the house. I would make the City or county to put a backflow preventer on your pipes.
