Keep in mind that passive respiratory system can easily become active. Grasshoppers and many other high-performance insects have air sacs they actively pump to force air through their trachea when more oxygen is needed. If the arthropulma also retain their respiratory pigments in their blood then the trachea system doesn't need to be as extensive as an insects. More like a dispersed lung, lets them have lower blood pressure than tetrapods, slower heart rate, less likely to bleed out when injured.
@@ocaracujonomecomecacomsaas3038 independently evolved in a few types of insects, so I qualify that as “easily” really all it takes is clenching and relaxing body wall muscles
Idk if this is something you've thought about but it might be cool to look at how sleep might evolve on a tidally locked world Like maybe the costs of long-term rest are higher because there's always light out and only social creatures or those with no predatory pressure can afford significant periods of rest or maybe all creatures evolve to sleep the way some whales do On earth a ton of creatures are diurnal/nocturnal because of the habits of their predators/prey/competitors so it would be cool to see how these clades handle niche partitioning in a world with no such cycle
I have absolutely thought about this and absolutely am going to include it in a video. Next land episode I'm thinking is the best place to introduce the concept.
The crissapods and testapods, could go to sleep in the tundra zones, since loricantrumstoma wasnt able to evolve in the subzero zone, so they should be safe there.
Crabs really are the ultimate pinnacle of evolution not only do they keep happening over and over again here on earth but even on an alien planet with completely different everything crabs show up eventually XD
@@uitham Glad to hear it 😀, There’s a lot more of series following this genre started by biblaridion. You should also look at non-youtube form speculative evolution such as Serina.
There are so many projects going’s round now. A favorite is the Teeming universe book by Christian cline. 10/10 book and if your into spec evo I highly reccomend
I have only two nitpicks: 1) Word choice and sentence flow feels a bit clunky 2) A way of marking which lineages have gone extinct on the cladograms, if only for the sake of clarity.
Wow, the quality of this series has really improved dramatically. It had a solid start, but the images and especially the audio are much better than the first couple of episodes. This latest show is on par with Alien Biospheres in terms of research and presentation. Great job, PR, keep up the good work.
Just want to say that I've been a big fan of the series since the beginning, and have always been excited and curious to see what the next part will bring! Probably now more than ever though, with the surviving oceanic clades and new terrestrial lineages adapting and diversifying to fill the vacant niches, really interested in seeing how things will turn out! Also really curious to see what life on the other worlds will turn out to be like, due to having different environments and lineages from Nusku, but I imagine we'll probably have to wait until season 1 is finished before moving on to them
I wonder if one of the species Arthropulma might involve some sort of through-gut in the future. Might be better to have some sort of evolved version similar to a through-gut so they can become successful herbivores or carnivores on land
This series is so much better than the original one by Biblaridion! He made the mistake of trying to make everything as earth-like as possible. You're already making stuff up, why not go crazy!
Nah, Bib's problem was that the series expanded in scope far beyond his original intention. Rose went into greater detail right from the get-go, and despite choosing a distinctly non-Earthlike planet has more closely mirrored the evolution of life on Earth (with the Proto-Nuskuan Mass Extinction being a close parallel to the emergence of terrestrial life on Earth).
i wonder what it would be like to live on a planet orbiting a red dwarf that wasnt tidally locked. I wonder what the day night cycle would be like for a planet orbiting so quickly
Patience is a virtue better than asking peeps for when your next upload is Biblaridion working on an AB episode: *works on it The fans: when is it coming? Hypothetical Biblaridion: just wait Tell that too tell billy or any one who’s like “will you mention blank” this is why I prefer Project Rose more plus there no gate keeping stanz that are toxic Just fine saying that guess I’ll be burned at the stake now.
Thanks a lot for creating & sharing this interesting video! Shouldnt tidal locked plantes have high winds? I am asking cause I have my own project and I want to design my aliens with violent wind in mind Edit: oh so wind is mentioned never mind
2:07 I'll probably not get an answer since I'm a bit late to the party. If the winds in the west are stronger than in the east, than why isn't the crescent facing the east and not the west, because it looks like the winds from the east are stronger than in the west?
I have to admit, I think it's a bit weird that plant-analogues have developed SO MUCH before ever venturing onto land. Wouldn't microbial algae-or phytobacteria analogues have colonized it first, like microbial mats? And wouldn't the first plant-analogues be very small with little supportive tissue? I understand that you don't want to do things exactly the way they happened on Earth, which would be kinda boring, but these highly-complex organisms just sorta doing the leap from sea to land feels a bit sudden.
what app or webside do you use for creating the plants and animals? i have seen few other people make creatures and plants in same style (or at least it screams than its in the same style) and i cant find where they made it
