It seems unfair to compare the "standard" line to the S-Line exterior package. Audi released the upgraded S-Line model (the green car) alongside the standard line (red car you picked). Comparing these two variations directly would be a more accurate assessment.
exactly what i was thinking
It's not bad looking alone but when you put it next to a picture of the old one, it starts to look worse
Front looks like someone stole the 4 ring badge.
And people pay extra for that 😂😂
@@prrrakrrra crazy world, but their money, their choice 🤷🏽
3:45 i think those pictures are non S-line and S-line A3, both with silver optics package
You are comparing a preface-lift S-line with a facelift non S-line. It isn't surprising the S-line looks better. If you look at the facelift S-line, it actually looks a ton better than the non-S-line.
The exhaust are fake at the old one, they are both closed
4:13 that's not black optics, that is the S-Line design, the more aggressive front end from the full S car.
I have the same front, but I do not have the S-line package, so thats a bit wierd. (mine have black trim) edit: really wierd actually, I wonder if the S-line optics was an option? cause I do not have the S-line interiour. (Bought it used)
You compare pre face lift S line version to NONE S line face lift verison... You compare oranges to apples.
the front looks like a previous gen Susuki Swift
That was the first thing I thought when I saw it.
haha you are right. I thought Mazda MX-5 :) but Suzuki might be the better choice.
I think I like that The A3 lowered its sport persona and brought a more classy look to it. despite the fact that the improvements made I feel are nothing impressive
I prefer this new one. It looks a lot cleaner and the rear taillights are pretty ETron esque. Only thing I don't like (about both of them) is the side profile. You say it's muscular but it looks like melted cheese to me.
bro you comparing the limousine version that is completely different from the standard version
The red car you are analysing is the non S-Line A3. The S-Line of the new facelift is this th-cam.com/video/mPlnu70kCz4/w-d-xo.html
It looks like a base version compared to the previous car. Do you know how crazy that is lol.
If you can't improve it leave it alone!
thats cuz it is. hes comparing the base new one vs the sline
Old version is way better.
2016 il still my favourite
Looks so cheap now it really pairs with the full plastic interior, very consistent design inside out for sure.
I do not understand Audi with the plastic, even on the old model they were like "Hey, look we now use recycled plastic to make the fabric, so its old bottles from the ocean".. I am not sure that feels premium :D
First of all, the 2025 model it's new but I wanna see the interior
felt like they are trying to bring in some of the mercedes design language into the new A3. bad decision..
looks like the 23 accent
Exactly
Design wise I liked the old one better
about the piano black at the gearshift, you can actually get it matt (I have that), not sure on the facelift if its still doable :) I prefer the old front, the new looks somehow like a Mazda MX-5 for some reason.. its more of a Pixar Cars front now. The rear I think looks nice, especially if you put the exhausts like you showed .
I don't understand why they are refreshing this when there are models many years older than this that look so dated, especially interior wise. Really wrong priorities and bad decisions from Audi recently.
On the pre face lift, the tail pipes are fake.
It seems like a lot of the design updates this year have been a step backward compared to the predecessor.
I love the fact that you can change the DRL's and hope more automakers do this
The S3 is an A3 with S line and the 4 exhausts. S-Modells are always the S line with more Power and the 4 exhausts! Next step is the RS.
In 3:14 you show the S line on top vs the non S line at the bottom. It seems to be unfair to compare the prefacelift with S line vs the facelift without S line
The hatchback’s graphics are wayyy better, I don’t know why the sedan and hatchback look so different now but all the negative changes you point out here don’t apply to the new hatchback.
Perhaps the hatchback is not available in the US? I hope you get it over there though.
I agree...and it's not available in the US. I think these small cars always look like they should be longer when they are in the sedan body style. These smaller cars more often than not seem to look better proportionally, and definitely function way better as hatchbacks. Unfortunately the US market doesn't seem to like hatchbacks, especially as "luxury" or "premium" vehicles these days.
Front bumber looks terrible compared to the pre-facelift
i was watching a review yesterday of the new A3 and i was thinking to myself "why does this look worse than the pre-facelift?" and this video is explaining exactly what i was thinking yesterday
I'm not a designer or savvy person but if i had to put it into words I'd say the new A3 is "muted", it's held back, it's missing something... this video goes into more detail on it
1. i think the new one is a nice subtle change. 2. Your comparing the S-line to the new base version.... like cmon the minimum u could do is compare the correct models.
What do you think about the new Font Style on the back side. A3
See presentations of the new A3 but with S-Line package, it's more worst by far ! Than the previous s-line version and than the basic version you comment.
The fake front intake are huge, unpainted pieces of cheap plastic, the front grill are horrible, same plastic not even gloss black with a strange form, very childish.
The S3 should be a good car with a quattro system inspired from the RS and possibly more rear biased than the actual, very near from a Golf R I suppose. It has this ugly front grill but the intakes aren't fake and it keep the 4 exhaust, so no drama.
Thks for your work mate, very appreciated
It looks like the mk4 focus 😅
Is there any info that heating steering wheel will be finally available in Audi A3/S3 2024-2025?
Audi effed that one up !
Didn't aston martin have drls in 2007 as well?
Custom drl design is actually pretty cool, but the matrix off doesn't look great, also looks more like a Jetta now
I think they’ve struggled to try and tweak the car. The new exterior detailing is questionable, but the interior is better. Overall, it’s a pass for me.
The rear end design of the new one is much better but the front side is a disaster 😢
The new gen looks like Volkswagen… i don’t like it, The pre face lift was perfect. I think if we’re tryna compete with bmw we gotta do better. BUT I’ll cut some slack n wait for the higher performance models 🤷🏾♂️ maybe they’ll change my mind, I doubt it, kinda disappointed.
glad I went for the 2023 model
The logo placement really ruins the front, it accentuates the grill missing its top 2 inches and its super awkward. They didn't have to change the looks, for real.
I hope you mentioned a huge front overhanging, that makes this car look very disproportional
agreed. sadly they hit the most beautiful small sedan on the market with the good old ugly stick for 2024. although to be fair you are comparing s-line(old) with non s-line(new)
biggest change on the interior is the ambient lighting / door panels (looks quite cool tbh)
You usually do a good job but this is not a good comparison. You're talking about black optics pack when you're looking at the old S-line and then compare it to the new version that is not the S-line.
There is no old-fashioned internal-external innovation, maybe you can tell if you look through a microscope 😵💫 I understand why people prefer Vw Golf and BMW 1 series
Looks cheaper somehow, very much in line with what german manufacturers have been doing lately.
The more I watched the video the more disappointed I got, I think at least 85-90% of the last gen was undoubtedly better lookin imo, interior & exterior. Let’s just hope performance is way up there!
I absolutely love the new 2024 audi A3/S3. Because thanks to the facelift, Audi sold out the 2023 stock with a whopping 18% discount.
Guess who just got himself a November 2023 Audi S3 :)
The place of the front logo, it's a little out of place.
Call me retrograde but Audi getting in the boat of stupid light gimmicks, huge grills, oversized cars, I feel they lost their class and status.
nowadays Audi look like a chinese knockoff of Audi
Their peak was 2008s -2015s
It looks unspectular modern. My favorite One is the Allstreet Version. You don´t need to buy a SUV. It has more Space +30mm from the Ground. That´s SUV Standard. Free Space around 170mm!!!
The front logo raised above the grill is the most annoying change. Terrible aesthetic decision.
The facelift sline versions looks better
Can you design the rs3 I have all the parts that will be on the new refresh
I like that its not as sporty, but the grille is weird.
why compare base model to s line model
Apple vs Tomatoes kinda comparison
New base model looks more like an A4.
On the thumbnail the 2021 look like the 24 n visiversa
For the first time you made a very big mistake in your comparisons. S line must be compared to S line.
The new badge looks very cheap
The blue one is the S-Line (and not Black Optics) that’s why it looks exactly like the S3. It has the same bumper as the S3.
Furthermore you then compared the old S-Line with the new Standard A3. The new S-Line looks quite different.
„Triangular air intake“ more like: triangular black plastic fake air intake
Agree 100%
looks like a ford focus with audi headlights
Why do German car makers love calling their overpriced small sedans "Compact Limousines". It's kind of ironic if you think about it.
Forget facelift and pre facelift the 2017-2019 previous generation is far better looking
It is certainly NOT ...mid cycle changes/restyles always feel like an afterthought =/ plus those rings look so out of place
3:07...is that the same driver for both Audi's?....come on now @Audi, where on earth is that Diversity we(me) looking for??
Really? Because I think it's an improvement.
I’m just disappointed 😔. I had a 2014 A7 and is was a beautiful design direction but here recently Audi is looking like a premium Kia
the new front design looks like a Suzuki on steroids... Audi has completely missed the mark on this one 🙅
Imo 99.9% of modern automobiles are either bland, too busy or ugly.
These cars look just like countless cars before them.
The new one looks like a BMW 2 series… the Old one is more Unique.
Very odd design changes. Shame
Grill is looking a little 2017 genesis G70
anyway that shit limousine version isnt avaiable in eu thanks god
Buuuuuh no s-line 2025 😮😮😮
Bmw 3 series looks so much nicer shame on audi
Jadi Kaya ada brio² nya gitu 🗿
Looks like a Kia gt. C’mon Audi. Stop with the fake vents and squiggly lines
There is no need to change a design that is good. I hate it when car reviewers complain about a design being outdated. If it is good don't touch it.
The new one looks cheap. As if it were from a lower range
Wtf is Audi doing? Looks like a badly made Chinese copy of the A3
audi over styling their cars since 2020
New cars continue to progressively get more and more bland.
Massive fail by Audi
All in all just uninformed
Disaster...
It’s giving Hyundai Elantra 2017
Bingo
Its over. Audi got the Bmw grill treatment too, just like Mercedes.
First
I wonder if any of the car designers responsible for the work ever watch these videos?
What a waste of time. Comparing ols S-line to the base model... Claiming that you need at least 200hp in a hatchback... what a joke of a TH-camr...
It looks like a Hyundai now.
looks like a hyundai.
WTF is this? Alfa Romeo?
Audi is shite now. Too bad.
audi been shite for 10 years now
@@pramey Yup. i was trynna be nice..lol
@@matthoffman8162 😭😭😭😭
It looks like Hyundai
