Same here. I saw them four times. If there was any type of dissension or contention it didn’t show. They never disappointed on stage. I did hear an interview with Larry Dunn mentioning that he finally received respect he deserved

1st of all, you can NOT recall the history Earth, Wind, and Fire without mentioning Charles Stepney (R.I.P.)!! It was he who mentored Maurice White and cultivated the fantastic sound that made them so popular today!!

This video does mention “Step”! And also mentions how devastating it was to lose him.

And speaking of Ramsey Lewis, he and Maurice White would collaborate together in 1974 for the maximal 8 1/2 minute opus, "Sun Goddess".

Thank you. Looking for info on Ramsey Lewis Trio after this video. Ramsey was scheduled to play Ordway in St. Paul. Was so excited. He had to cancel and retire. He owes nothing. I forgive him. Still alive.

If you think black folks and white folks can't get along..go to a EWF concert. Seen them several times and one of the most diverse shows I've ever been to. Just a bunch of people ready to have a good time.

It’s the media telling black and white people that they can’t get along. The reality is that we can and do get along.

Yep. Had two seats in the third row at Treasure Islands Casino Red Wing. A Brother noticed and walked up dressed to the nines. (Security come up to mess with him.) 6ft 5 tall and blocked the view of fans behind us wanting to sit the show. I slipped him my ticket and played the fool. We laughed and had the time of our life. WHO SITS AT EW&F ? It was his style, smile, and moves that had the ladies melting as well. Being white and not White I just tried not to embarrass myself. EW&F needs an open floor. Color blind as it should be like in the movie Ray.

Graceful that Maurice White did not give up on his dreams dispite the fact he experienced police brutality. Also the group stayed together despite their differences. Like many of us they realized that they had to come together cause they are family of brothers as well a band. Earth Wind &Fire stilled remain one of the top bands of all time. The music will always touch many generations to come. ❤
