- I wanted an e-scooter to tool around my local airport and to occasionally take with me. I am not an expert on these e-scooters but did educate myself on the various options from the leading manufacturers. I settled on this GoTrax GXL V2 from Costco. This video is unboxing, basic assembly, and usage review.

My husband weight 260 lbs and cant go up high road so he gave me the scooter. I just 120lbs so i test it good for me.
Thats funny. I bought mine for my 70 pound daughter 10 years old. I weigh about 280. It works for me unless the hill is more than just slight

Ordered mine directly from gotrax after checking all the costco warehouses in my area. Delivery is within 3 business days.
How much does it weigh? How do I lock it up if I’m going inside a business to shop? Or a museum? Does it take to a bike cable lock? I may not want it coming inside with me everywhere.

@@karen_boomer8603 The customer support helped me to solde the issue, i probably was not pushing to hard while fitting the head.. works like a charm after that !! Love it ...
a doubt the small piece to fold the scooter is very useful

Now that you've had this for a few months do you still like it? There are a lot of reviews about the rear wheel cover breaking from the base. Do you think it will be sturdy for the long run? Solid and well made?
This is my first scooter, but I am impressed with build quality and has been working very well for my needs. I only do short hops on pavement though.
update on the scooter? plan on getting one for my college commute

It’s great extremely fast so I’d recommend if on campus to have on gear 1 I weigh about 150 lbs and fastest speed for me was about 17.5 mph. Last quite some time too used it all day and battery was still at 2 bars!

It is now October 2021, how is she holding up?
I’m shopping for 2 for my girlfriend and I. These will be our first entry into E scooters. I’ve been reading that customer service is difficult.
If we bought these from Costco, I imagine they will honor any returns or customer service issues?

I've had some problems with the speed control lately. Basically it won't start. I'll flick the throttle control several times and nothing. Then all of a sudden works. I'll see what I can find out eventually.

Is speed 1 for hill climb?
Its just a speed limiter. They dont include it on the v2
Mine makes a funny noise when I ride it. Has anyone found it’s loud? Don’t know if it’s normal.

I have read a couple places that there IS a RED Tail light option available for this on the GoTrax website. I have not checked their site yet.
I would also assume that if they have a kit, that you could also rig one up yourself from spare parts or whatever.
This scooter is only $248 on Amazon right now (May 2020). Thought I might wait for a sale, but sounds like that's a great deal from the comments here.
im pretty sure you can buy one for about 5 to 10 bucks on amazon(tail lights). But I just got my scooter today from amazon for $248 and from the first impressions and rides its worth the money

Another highlight of this clip was.....I have seen a small part of the N118CS (only prop and spinner) again. Now she have celebrated her 8th birthday. Greetings! Yes, my first flight video was 9 years ago! Hard to believe. I am working on a new video about changing the prop to Whirlwind. Not significant progress on floats for a while.

Is the battery replaceable, if the juice finishes.
They sell new batteries from the Gotrax website for $100. They also have tires and tubes as well as the front motor assembly.
oh heck no i bought my scooter back in 2018 from Costco and to my surprise this is only lasted till july. it was annoying first of all to get a hold of customer service where they are not helpful at all. to top things this is ridiculous because they could not assist on it because i was past the warranty on the item i could not use the scooter until April of this year because of the winter. i decided to return it back to Costco and get me the segway and it works wonders.
Can you explain the problem you had?
It just simply die on me. It turns on you can see it on the screen but the wheel will not pull forwarded when push. I try everything taking it apart to make sure the battery was not loose but that was not it because it was turning on. At this point i no longer have the scooter as it was return back to Costco.

It can go up whoever u want it to my highest 50.5 I was going faster than cars
