I think zayn definetly deserved the first sub 1 average more than anyone else, but I feel that Yiheng will do the same thing he did with 3x3 averages with 2x2 averages. He will probably get multiple sub 1 averages and will break the WR

zayn completely deserved this, and everybody knew that, and seeing the 0.92 avg live at the competition, calling it as a joke and recording the last solve was absolutely insane. hopefully the 0.92 stands

Firstly, I agree Yiheng’s extra solve wasn’t warranted. It’s clear he asked for it because the 5th solve wasn’t good enough.
Congrats to Zayn for finally breaking the record! But I think Yiheng is going to catch up very soon 😅 This kid is just way too good.
This reminded me of how BlueScuti finally beat Tetris after years and years, and then all of a sudden other rivals were able to beat it too right after his success. I think he hate has been opened and sub-1 by top 2x2 cubers are going to be the new norm.

Not to mention that yiheng got a 1.01 avg the next round, like bro really wanted that wr, zayn dod get a 1.15 the round for average but yiheng is so consistent. I find this like the tymon scenario where he gets first sub 5 and then yiheng dominates. I think that will happen in 2x2, and i am kinda sad. This is because a kid can just break your wr if they practice it, even if you have been practicing for 5-10 years. I feel once yiheng becomes 15 and his hands will be bigger, he will become the undisputed goat, however i think cubing will die.

yeah yiheng is slowly taking over 2x2 - I do think 2x2 itself is slightly dying but imo cubing is well and truly alive
