I wish we were! Both Teachers here in the UK. We have to travel at the most expensive times of the year, however we make it work. For example we save every penny we earn and fund our holidays. We also use AMEX and Virgin points to maximise our travels. With regards to this hotel we used Travel Republic who came out a lot cheaper than booking direct. Don't get me wrong, it was very expensive still at £2500 for the 7 nights with then tickets and flights on top. Nevertheless we made it work! That being said we are being a lot more Conservative this year with our travels.
I have stayed at this hotel several times for professional conferences. I think the rooms are garbage. They are older, the rooms are not well maintained, bland damaged furniture, a real let down.
I must admit I agree! I had the privilege of staying at this hotel back in 2018 and it was the start of my love and passion for all things Hard Rock. However when we stayed this time it certainly was looking sorry for itself. In fact the negative reviews kept pouring into TripAdvisor leading up to our hotel stay we nearly cancelled! I contacted the hotel in advance to express my concern, and it seems the generally speaking we had one of the 'better' rooms, it was still overall worn down...especially when you consider this is the best part of $300-500 a night. Nevertheless we had a great time for our holiday and we did say we would return, but only after they do room renovations. I understand they were meant to take place this year, but unsure if that has been put on hold. I must say however we have stayed at the Hard Rock Hotels in Orlando, London, Dublin and Amsterdam...Amsterdam is by far the best hotel, so much so we felt it was our best hotel we have ever stayed at! We have a video of it from last year!
I love the Hard Rock but the Portofino will always be my favorite!
We said we would consider the other two premier hotels next time!
Must be rich
