  • I purchased these 4.5 inch wheel spacers from
    www.motorsport-tech.com/speci...
    for my Kubota L6060.
I opted for the steel spacers vs the aluminum option. During the install, Jo came by and wanted to help.

I'll be interested in the long term affects, I'm not arrogant enough to predict what will happen.

You might want to buy a supply of front wheel bearings because you’re going to need them

      Perhaps. I guess I'll see.

Swap sides with tires so grip is correct

How is this different than changing the off set of tractor wheels? And yes, the wheels on the l6060 dont offset, but many tractors do.

Literally no difference. This is about the offset you would get if you had reversible wheels. Maybe not even as much. Since these rears are not reversible my option was new wheels or spacers to get a wider stance. So far I love it.

Its your rig so I don't have a penny invested but for sure the front axle is not going to like the added stress. Contrary to every comment I see about it not adding to the stability of the tractor it does. It does not add to initial stability, but at the end of the front pivot movement it absolutely does. I have had many tractors lift one rear tire and the front pivot maxes out then the tractor just stands on 3 legs.

Besides the stability, try trailering a tractor on ramps that has a big difference between front and rear width.

I wouldn't mind going 2" out but 4" sounds like a lot, Kubota say that was ok?

Didn't ask them. I'm more interested in keeping it on the wheels. When you see the boom mower I'm installing it will make sense.

Widening the front wheel stance wont make any difference to stability. Rear wheels, yes. Front wheels no.
The front axle pivots in the center, so by the time the front axle stop contacts the frame, the rear wheel will be 2 feet in the air.
      Good luck with your project.

@@kevinjensen539 Hey Kevin, your absolutely correct. Agreed, pivoting front axle. Front Spacers will have zero effect on stability, but they are clean, painted and lubed very well.
