    2:20 why reset fitness calibration? won't that make it less accurate because it now has less data?

    • @Burps___
      @Burps___ ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are correct, the official Apple Support website does not mention that one should reset the data before doing this recalibration. It explains how to reset the data, but not why or when to reset the data. Also, the official webpage mentions that Apple Watches (version 2 abd more recent) do not need the iPhone carried during the recalibration run. My running club mentions that a person should deliberately *not* carry their iPhone during the calibration as the accumulated recalibration data should be native to the GPS in the Apple Watch itself. The watch will upload to the Workouts app when one is within Bluetooth range of the iPhone after the recalibration run.

    It over estimates for me. But I’m ok with that! So for 1 month of use tracking all calories burned with the Apple Watch. Tracking all calories in as honest and accurate as possible with My Plate by live strong:
    Calorie deficit= -52723
    Actual Weight lost= 11.4lbs
    Obviously it’ll work out different for everyone. But it was consistent through the month. So instead of looking at a lb as 3500 calories, I look at a lb as 4625 “Apple Watch” calories. Works for me and as I said that stayed consistent.

    My mistake was I forgot to stop running training session while walking normal slowly to the supermarket. Now the distance measured is too low for my footsteps. I walk exactly 1 mile and watch only shows 0,8 miles.

    The problem is ... many of us GYM rats does for example incline treadmill walks and when the distance does not match , no way of changing it. Not even stupid Strava let you do this. You can do manual distance only if the workout is manually added and not recorded by the watch or whatever device.
    I want to find a way to edit distance of already finished and recorded by apple watch workouts that are indoors ?
    How on earth is possible apple watch ultra to not have the ability to correct distance or climbed / elevation if i walk on incline treadmill is beyond me and its super bad.

  • @user-fu5wl1ch8h
    @user-fu5wl1ch8h 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Why are we talking about the calibration like it's something that is working ? The main problem is that the automatic calibration simply doesn't work. The watch is off for most people on a treadmill. Why can't we talk about that ? I have tried "re-calibrating" the watch many times, and with different models of apple watches, and I have been running hundreds of kilometers outside in total. But, on the treadmill it's a total failure. Yes, I have tried many different treadmills, and some that is of high quality. Maybe AW indoor running works for some average runners with spot on average height and weight, etc. However, a manual correction after each run could solve the problem like e.g Garmin. With Garmin I get super accurate treadmill results out of the box even without correction.The bad accuracy and no options for correction on the AW is a dealbreaker for me, and I would have chosen AW if it could offer indoor running.
