The DoH was offered, free of charge, an 8 acre brown field site on the Nass dual carriageway, just north of Newlands Cross, but for reasons that defy logic and understanding they chose the St James campus.The fault for this catastrophe lies with Leo Varadakar, Simon Harris and senior civil servants in the Department of Finance and the Department of Health. It’s a national scandal of gargantuan proportions, for which nobody will ever be held accountable.

Same as building the Royal Canal. When finished it worked well only to be outdone by the train. The hospital will be great. Hopefully many new cures will come along and the hospital won't be needed.
BAM built the Ennis bypass as far as I remember and finished the project ahead of schedule... difference is they had a proper plan from the start. The problem is the government of course.
